This thread title made me laugh out loud . The PowerPoint I had read out to me today was about music in the EYFS. We were also forced to sing and dance like idiots. What a treat that was .

Powerpoint is ok. Prezi is also fine.

It's people who just write text on them. Or abuse the backgrounds or the animations. Just because they can. Meanwhile, you just get motion sickness.

Not today. I expect the next trip to school to be told about a trip or options evening or something there will be that to look forward to though. Complete with handout of the powerpoint at the end.

Hahahahaha! I'd forgotten all about that! Used to drive me crazy! And IMHO, all it does is make you forget whatever the fuck it was. You read it yourself in half the time whilst they're 'reciting' and you automatically tune them out and thereby forget what it was you just read.

Thank God for retirement!

our snoozefest began with the trainer saying she wasn't going to read her slides as 'you're all intelligent', and we breathed a collective sigh of relief but when slide 1 comes on she says the key words are in red and practically read all 72 slides, some of them 3 times to emphasise the key words in case we'd forgotten them when we did the group activities.

I might need tonight as my reward for not falling asleep and why is it always the same people who love the sound of their own voice have to ask stupid questions and prolong the agony?

It's even worse when they give you a copy of the entire PowerPoint to take away with you at the end. What was the bloody point in standing there reading it out then? You could've just given me my copy to read in the first place and have done with it!
