Concerns about William and Catherine's friendship with Tom Cruise

Palace are reported to be concerned about Catherine and Williams growing friendship with tom cruise. They are concerned about them being recruited into Scientology.

Now I hope, that there is no realistic chance that they could be recruited into Scientology. But even having a future king and queen who are sympathetic to scientologists could help this cult. I do believe that Tom Cruise is becoming very friendly to Catherine and William to benefit Scientology in whatever way he can.

Don’t be upset everyone can see you aren’t a bully, it’s a word some posters throw out because their posts are indefensible so they lash out, it’s all they have.

It’s really unfair when it’s 100% about the news source lacking credibility and nothing personal at all.

It’s an interesting point to ask MNHQ actually, is it against talk guidelines to make a personal attack, then edit your post and then announce you stand by your personal attack because everyone on the thread can read the original post, isn’t that allowing personal attacks to stand covertly?

It is against Talk Guidelines, yes. Everyone who is bothered by it should report it.

I am not looking for anyone to be banned. Just think it’s unfair and unkind for someone I don’t even recall interacting with and have no opinion of to label me as a bully. This comes on the heels of another poster saying they were PMing with multiple posters me.

@LilyMumsnet could you answer my query above regarding personal attacks that are edited out but then the poster claims to stand by their original post, the post we can all read with the personal attack?

I have been in the receiving end of robust ribbing and disagreement. I try not to get personal.

I have missed this too , yes the edit feature is for typos or forgotten bits when you have posted too soon, it clearly states it is not to be used to significantly change the content of the post , so against guidelines.

Yes, you're right. If @Constantrunner had second thoughts, she could have self reported for deletion. She didn't. She then said she stood by it.

Exactly I myself have been a tad harsh in replies when irritated, I simply reported to mn and explained and they kindly removed it , it’s not hard.
