Why on earth are you targeting me and pursuing this? I’ve expressed a view which you don’t share. I don’t need (or wish) to justify it.

Targeting you?

I replied to your posts to me. 😆😆😆

He also repeated the bit about how grateful he is to 'have kids that aren't sick'. He said that in front of the audience and I thought it was a bit insensitive, even if the intention may have been good. Again, you can see the absence of the 'grey men' who would have written a professional speech for him and been very conscious of how it would be perceived.

And I see he also had to get a dig in about 'being sent away' to boarding school. Get over it. It was the norm for upper class boys of his generation and will have been done with good intentions.

Also had to laugh at how he's happy to be closer to the charities 'that need us'. How on earth did they manage for the past 7 years? And if supporting British charities was so important to him why did he stomp off to the other side of the world?

Yes much more empathic to say something like ‘we all want our kids to reach their potential no matter what challenges they have’.

Charities ‘that need us’. And yet Meghan has done absolutely nothing charity wise since she returned to the UK. So is she going to?

M’s photo is still on the Wellchild’s website from 2019. Presumably that’s from the last time she attended the awards. Website needs an update!
https://www.wellchild.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/

Also Emma Willis and Sam Quek are ambassadors yet as far as I know neither were in attendance last night. And last year the website says attendees were ‘Molly-Mae Hague, Ronnie Wood, Jamie Laing and Peter Andre with the cast of Hercules the musical and Joss Stone providing entertainment’. Did anyone famous attend last night or was everyone ‘busy’?

HoldMyWine · 22/09/2026 13:31

Lol at how HaM talk about their ‘work’ with the children at breakfast. Those poor kids.

AI is only as good as its sources. What sources is this based on? What are the 'reports' they cite? Actual RAVEC sources run a very tight ship, so I suspect the 'reports' are emanating from the Sussexes themselves.

KilkennyCats · 22/09/2026 13:53

That’s just a load of AI shite. They will not be getting armed protection, we all know that.

Surely an AI summary is useless here

It uses information in the public domain - RAVEC never comment so the summary is based entirely on HAM's media briefings

AI trawls from the most popular articles or articles with most interactions online, depending on the algorithm.

It's therefore unsurprising that it would come up with those responses, given that articles written in that way would have large numbers of clicks and interactions, even if negative.

If you then click through to the actual articles, they often contain significant caveats (or, in a recent search I have done, refer to an entirely different legal point, which could have been interesting had I believed it).

Saw there was labour mps on TV this morning all saying Harry should get taxpayers security due to his birth right regardless if he has let go of his royal duties...

Starryfifty · 22/09/2026 13:54

If he did , there's be bells and whistles at Wellchild last night

Yeah, Harry clearly didn't have official security last night. And we saw Meghan using some poor 'security official' as a skivvy, so no way he was an RPO! They also said they had to change the kids' school 'becoz sekurridee'.

They've been back a few weeks so if they qualified for armed security they would have it by now.

Starryfifty · 22/09/2026 13:56

he will get some form of security just not what he wants (I hope). If he got what he wanted, HAM will abuse it

Their opinions are no more relevant than yours or mine. Which is to say, not at all. RAVEC base their decisions on sophisticated security assessments, not on whoever happened to be gabbing on breakfast TV.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 22/09/2026 13:59

If Haz can get taxpayer funded security the next argument will be that MPs deserve it, so never discount an element of self-interest here.

Was it the guy who is a good friend of Harry's PR guy Liam? (I think Liam contributed to his election campaign)

What about Princess Anne? Edward and Sophie? Should they get full time security as well?

notimagain · 22/09/2026 14:03

Wonder if the MPs calling for this will be willing to help facilitate it by reducing the amount of protection in and around the Houses Of Parliament, at the very least on a temporary basis.

Suitably trained individuals aren't that easy to come by..

Starryfifty · 22/09/2026 14:04

HAM would leak if they had it.

Lunde · 22/09/2026 14:05

Probably the "person of royal blood" most at risk currently is AMW - do MPs want to give him security as well?

Edited

It was Barry Gardener, arguing that Harry 'didn't ask to be born into the RF' and on that logically dubious premise is arguing for security.

Oddly not arguing the same for Anne or Edward that I could see, just making free with taxpayers money as usual

I totally agree with you @lunde ! Many working royals do not have paid security other than when on official engagements. The problem that is Harry (& Meghan) is only going to get worse. I feel MM has a book in her just bursting to get out plus there’s the reports today Harry is making a documentary on Diana. They were totally in cahoots with CS. I wish carting people off to the Tower was still a thing!
