They're awful. They also seem to accept Chris Ship as some sort of oracle.

They really are. All of their presenters and commentators seem to be under instructions to support HAM these days and I bet those instructions come from the very top. It would explain how they got that meaningless "exclusive" about Haz's own security report.🙄

But why? Who's giving the instructions?

Chris Ship needs a gagging order, frankly. The crap that comes out of his mouth is unreal.

I said this on the last thread, but having thrown so much into publicising/defending the appalling pair he's probably going through his own period of adjustment

He's not the first commentator who's allowed them to make a fool of him and he won't be the last, but doubtless he'll get over it in time

The director general of ITV is Carolyn McCall so I'm assuming it's her, for reasons I can only guess at. GMB are very much a mouthpiece of HAM and they do have a strong left wing bias, also maybe they just want the pointless so-called exclusives 🤷

HoldMyWine · Today 11:19

I think like Oprah, Ship is holding out for the post divorce interview.

Nah! , he’s just a toadying , sycophant, creep!

Not2identifying · Today 11:25

I think ITV just see HAM as sticking it to the man. Of course, you only have to scratch the surface to see that they want all the privelege and none of the work and love the trappings of royalty. But there can be little doubt that HAM are a thorn in the side of the RF so they will always have supporters because of that.

Left wing? Why would they toady to a Prince with unearned wealth, status and privilege? One who doesn't even live here, but expects limitless taxpayer funded security.
They support that? They sound very right wing and reactionary, as all Harry's fans do.

More fool them! Support people who would challenge people like Harry, that would make more sense. Otherwise it's a bit juvenile.

Not2identifying · Today 11:29

@FenellaFeldman That's what I was saying. People who don't think about it very hard saw HAM snub the RF (the 'establishment') and they see HAM as antiestablishment rebels. They're wrong but they're not thinking very hard.

That itv headline was one of those things that was unintentionally funny! The breathless "exclusive" reporting, detailing Harry's so called security risks. Which then turned out to be a report commissioned by Harry from his own security team and evidenced by, at best, very out of date information.
Chris Ship dominating and talking in a worried tone...

Isn't Tom Bradby one the ITN anchors a personal friend of the Sussexes hence maybe explaining their stance?

ShamedBySiri · Today 11:41

Current speculation on X re:Althorp is the reason it is closed this weekend is the Earl is hosting a big party to celebrate his latest marriage which took place privately in California (no nephews present). So probably won't have time for the H&M. If he didn't bother to invite them to the wedding in California I doubt he will inflict them on his family and friends at a post wedding party.

He used to be a friend of both brothers. I wonder how he feels these days about his choosing the wrong brother to stay loyal to?

Oh dear! That was a misstep!

Scorchio84 · Today 11:46

It's not him. It can't be. They just do not listen and have a psychological need for constant headlines/ attention

I kind of think this too, it's not as if suddenly their whole M.O. has gone askew or that their image/popularity has suddenly taken a dive

How will Meghan monetise their kids meeting the King at Highgrove? She won’t be able to resist doing or saying something……

She'll update her instagram with some bullshit quote "family is everything" blah blah. It's simply not worth her time otherwise

We will hear all about it on Page Six no doubt. Unfortunately this meeting will release the floodgates for more fodder from H&M, it will be will they won’t they come to Sandringham for Christmas and the whole sorry saga continues ad nauseam.

The funniest manifestation - Earl Spencer will hold a white tie dinner at Althorp in honour of Harry and Meghan and Meghan will wear the Spencer tiara (despite the fact there is a Countess Spencer!). Honestly, these people…

Hold my beer!

That's it exactly. This crap will continue for years. Next it's "meeting the cousins " and a global hissy fit if it's not facilitated
