For all Meg and Harry PR shenanigans

I think @Rhaidimiddimmeans it is the fault of the British press for reporting what Harry said. Just as he blamed the British press for reporting on the racism accusation from the Oprah interview (which was Meghan’s accusation, whether or not she said it explicitly). He can never take any responsibility for anything he does or says.

Agree.

So Meghan goes on a solo weekend trip to Chicago while Harry gets himself papped in LA by Backgrid "lunching with friends" at Nobu 1½ hours away from Montecito.

Seems like neither want to spend much time with the kids despite having been away so much recently

He’s grown into such an unattractive man. Surely he has the money to find a good barber to sort out his messy hair and beard.

HoldMyWine · 06/05/2026 07:33

I’m sure a pap walk is already being planned.

Yes he’s not aging well at all, ugliness in the inside shows on the outside.

JSMill · 06/05/2026 07:54

@HoldMyWineyes that’s how I feel when I look at him.

LaurenBacal · 06/05/2026 08:11

I’m curious about who these friends are that Harry is meeting. Also who is Meghan spending time with? It does seem they aren’t at home much.

Mylovelygreendress · 06/05/2026 08:17

Harry has frequently talked about the failings of his childhood and Meghan described herself as a latchkey kid .
No one is saying they have to be with their DC 24/7 but they do seem to be away from them a lot on non essential trips .

Starryfifty · 06/05/2026 08:56

And Communions are generally family events. Meg could have taken the kids

....but they would have been snapped - in general family photos if nothing else.

Sorry, I meant she could have took her kids but didn't. Only time I have seen them with kids is Disneyland and that was a paid gig 🙄

To be fair - the 4th was Monday, so a school day (I don't think it's a PH in the US?). Archie would definitely be in school all day, I'm assuming Lili is in nursery.

But yeah, it's backgrid and People so it's a paid pap walk and planted story. "Look Pa, I do have real friends!".

To paraphrase the SS - looks like Diana snatched that hair right back.

The Sussex rebuttal to the rumours of dwindling inheritances

“A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess has dismissed the claims as a work of fiction. In a pointed statement, the representative said the 'unnamed sources' were doing 'a lot of very heavy lifting' and questioned why, if the allegations were solid, none of the supposed insiders would go on the record.

The spokesperson said that relying on off-the-record briefings 'makes writing a lot easier' when there is no editor demanding evidence or asking a reporter to 'stand it up,' and maintained that the narrative of a financial crisis is a recurring media trope used to undermine the couple's independence. Despite this, the lack of public filings for their private trusts means the true state of their accounts remains a mystery.”

They really need to stop with the constant rebuttals - have they never heard of the Streisand effect? Plus, it's so juvenile.

How does it undermine their independence? So much of what they say is rooted in paranoia and makes no sense

HoldMyWine · 06/05/2026 10:00

So pathetic. They must spend so much on their day scanning for stories about themselves.

Mylovelygreendress · 06/05/2026 10:02

I hadn’t seen that story . Where is / was it ? X

HoldMyWine · 06/05/2026 10:00

So pathetic. They must spend so much on their day scanning for stories about themselves.

I suspect that’s what they do all day, watch YouTube channels about themselves, read X, Reddit, the DM and mumsnet in their war room and class that as “work”.

Thedom · 06/05/2026 10:17

It doesn’t take an insider to suspect finances are becoming an issue when she is promoting the clothes off her back for a percentage, they are accepting paid speaking engagements from unheard of small random organisations, they have terminated the bulk of their employees and shuttered their foundation for lack of funds and she is selling jam and teabags.

Their PR is just atrocious, he sounds like the big mouth guy spewing belligerent diatribe at a workers meeting.

BridgetJonesV2 · 06/05/2026 10:18

Harry has got no idea what a "normal" childhood means, and I would imagine that he and Meghan spend minutes a day with their children rather than hours. They're both far too self absorbed to put others before themselves. Those children aren't going to be close to their parents and won't know any of their extended families. It makes you feel really sad for them, in truth.

MildManneredRepublican · 06/05/2026 10:19

Despite this, the lack of public filings for their private trusts means the true state of their accounts remains a mystery.

And there at the end is the media clapback to the pathetic Sussex clapback. The Streisand Effect indeed.

The Sussexes want to talk about money and evidence? OK, show us your accounts, then. Let's start with the bits of the Invictus accounts that the Canadian government were prevailed upon to redact. (I really hope that Justin Trudeau blabs to Katy Perry who tells Lauren Sanchez ...)

Or how about Archewell, in all its iterations?

MildManneredRepublican · 06/05/2026 10:49

In other news, I was intrigued this morning by this article in the Telegraph on the PR and reputational problems facing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and the parallels with Meghan and Harry.

  1. Unwise legal action(s) ended up with cringe-makingly embarrassing private messages being disclosed to the world.
  2. There's evidence of how difficult they are to work with.
  3. There's evidence of self-absorbed, narcissistic tendencies.
  4. They've fallen out with people in the business and burnt bridges.
  5. They've attempted to socially weaponise relationships, friendships and professional connections.
  6. They've indulged in wildly inappropriate and frivolous ways of promoting their brand(s) on the back of a very serious subject, appearing to trivialise it.
  7. They seem to leave many people - very famous people - feeling used.

Blake Lively did, surprisingly, make the cut for entry into the Met Gala event. On her own. I wonder (because frankly I'm nosey) what that's all about? Did she have to donate a shit-tonne of $$$? Bail out Versace?

Or has does she have just enough genuine talent that she's considered bearable? Reynolds too? Harry and Meghan, though, have no residual talents at all. They are truly on the skids.

Just read Invictus are blocking anyone who is asking questions about their finances on SM. Why would they do that unless they have something to conceal.

Things appear to be unraveling at the speed of knots !
