Meghan was raised Protestant and attended a Catholic high school. She had a Jewish marriage ceremony with her first marriage but did not convert. She had religious instruction before her wedding to Harry as she was unfamiliar with it according to the Revenge book.

I this re the Met Gala invitation , what you don't do if you want to be invited is piss off both Anna Wintour and Lauren Sanchez. The latter especially for other reasons , apparently M has been trying to get on good terms with Jeff Bezos , because he could bankroll anything for her. Silly to get on the wrong side of his wife then.

They might have given advice such as, "invite your siblings and your niece together", which was spun into "don't invite your niece".

She wasn't just given instruction, she was baptised and confirmed into the Church of England before being married in 2018.

Not sure exactly how these things work but perhaps she's reverted back to Catholicism.

The comments about how much Charlotte looks like William, who looks the most like like you know who, must have caused some teeth gnashing in Monteceito.

IMHO, I don't think the SS will stop even if their dear Leader tells them to. It has gone on too long and some people are too invested in the narrative to let go.

This is why I am surprised by people who think the cousins will somehow become friends. IMHO, the vitriol that has already been directed towards Charlotte combined what is yet to come will ensure that Charlotte's family, in particular big brother future KG7 will have zero inclination to have any association with A&L.

And the seeds of the rift, sewn by H&M, will grow into a wide chasm that will likely never be crossed.

I also think A & L will be distanced from the RF when they're older. Any attempt to get to know them would cause drama with H & M, which the RF is obviously trying to avoid. It would put A & L in a very awkward position with the appearance of divided loyalties. And George and Charlotte will remember how H & M treated their parents when C was ill, which is likely to ensure they have zero motivation to attempt to heal the breach.

I do think it's possible George, Charlotte and Louis will have to actively avoid them though because those circles are small and Archie and Lili are bound to know people who know people who know G, C and L when they are young adults. It'll be interesting to see when the time comes and it's really not so far away.

The children are highly unlikely to move in the same circles when they are older. Harry's family doesn't mix with his old friends, as far as we know. The children are going to US schools and will be worlds away from the British upper classes who are all educated in Britain. Archie won't even know how to play rugby 😳We've already seen that the poor boy has only been skiing once, which is - quite frankly - astonishing.

I disagree that A and L will mix in similar circles, unless they end up at a top public school in the UK. I think even if they ended up in the UK, people who mix in those circles would give them a wide berth. I do think it’s a shame that, if A and L did want to get to know their British family as adults, they’d likely be kept at arms length.

I can see the opposite with PH & MM being like AMW & SF and pushing their DCs forward even if / especially if, H&M are still out in the cold. Narcs are shocking with their own DCs.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they sent A & L to the same boarding schools as G, C & L….imagine the shenanigans at prize giving, Sports day, school productions etc. What a pantomime. They would absolutely want their DC to be on the orbit or three Kings - KC3, KW5 and KG7.

US culture is totally different and they won’t have anything like the same education or experiences. The cousins will have nothing at all in common.

It would be the epitome of having your cake and eating it to claim that you've escaped a terribly oppressive society and restrictive culture to bring up your kids in a totally different, easy going and free culture, only then to expect your kids to be able to seamlessly slot back in, and be welcomed in, when it suited you.

Would they really send their DC thousands of miles away to the dangerous UK ??

Oh dear, more shade from Serena Williams. Here she is, out on the town with the Marchioness of Bath, Emma Thynn on Saturday night for some pre-Met Gala fun. Emma was pictured being warmly greeted by King Charles at the King's Trust gala earlier in the week and hanging out with Anna Wintour and Martha Stewart. Emma is also a lifestyle influencer, having started Emma's Kitchen 9 years ago from her Longleat home, and the first woman of colour to marry into British aristocracy, having half Nigerian heritage. Some people have speculated that Meghan copied her. Surely not! Emma seems like a genuinely lovely woman - I thought she was absolutely wonderful when she was on Strictly, elegant, gracious and never took herself too seriously. She and Serena look like they are having a grand old time in these pictures, and both women look stunning.
