I also found the Humanitarians of the Year acceptance speech very problematic where to an audience of traumatised parents who had lost their children in the worst possible way - she leads with bringing in her own glorious children - totally insensitive and jarring and then continues with listing out what she and PH had done rather that taking the opportunity to shine a light on all the people in audience who have actually achieved so much despite their suffering. Me.Me.Me. Vile.
I think the Parents' Network is being absorbed into a much larger org doing the same thing. Whatever involvement H&M had is possibly at an end. As far as I can tell, over 2 years, all they did was put a forum on the Archewell website, which required you to input your data, and a rooftop installation that was up for 24 hours and not accessible to the public. Why on earth that warranted "Humanitarian of the Year" is beyond comprehension. How many hardworking, dedicated people, in it from personal experience and in it for the long term, were overlooked?
