Just curious really
How much screen time per week or day do you think they are allowed?
Also how many out of school classes and clubs do you think they do?
How much down time do you think they have?

Have reported my own post. I really didn’t think people would get so worked up about a comment about a child they don’t know.

Read that back to yourself again…

Houseofdragonsisback · 15/06/2024 14:41

I don’t know what school they are at but it’s quite common for preps to use Chromebook’s etc as a teaching aid in class so it may be a bit more than people expect.

I’ll have the comment deleted if the consensus is it’s not appropriate.

There’s definitely something different about him in that he doesn’t fit into what is expected of “royal children” but I expect a lot of people find that a breath of fresh air and don’t immediately think that means there’s something wrong with him.

@fluffiphlox do yourself a favour and stop digging. Vile.

LadyMuckRake · 15/06/2024 14:45

Their youngest is the only one I can imagine having raised. Iykwim.

Houseofdragonsisback · 15/06/2024 14:46

@fluffiphlox you didn’t comment you diagnosed him. What do you think is wrong with him?

He's bored. Nothing wrong with him.

There is a difference between commenting and making nasty unfounded remarks. Yours were the latter

As I say I have asked for the comment to be deleted but I’m not sure why collective knickers are in a twist. He’s a public figure albeit a young one.

He is a six year old who has no say in being seen by the whole world, nor any understanding that every time he messes around it's being recorded for posterity.

usernother · 15/06/2024 14:54

@fluffiphlox
His behaviour is refreshing and is entirely normal for an outgoing little boy. Jeez.

3WildOnes · 15/06/2024 14:55

@fluffiphlox I think you need to develop a little self awareness. Lots of people have commented that it is unpleasant to comment on a child publicly. You are a grown adult. It is your behaviour that is 'not particularly attractive'.

Sagarmatha · 15/06/2024 14:56

He's got a personality, and it's hilarious.

fluffiphlox · 15/06/2024 14:57

OK. Having asked for the comment to be deleted and having been put in my place, I won’t engage further.

To get back on topic

I should imagine they have less screen time than a lot of people purely because they live in such wonderful surroundings! When I had a garden my DD was always out in it I moved areas and ended up with a "yard" screen time became king now I live on a main road surrounded by weed smokers and dog breeders I have a decent garden but it's not safe so again screen time is a "safer" option

I hope they have a carefree existence outside of the cameras

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 15/06/2024 15:08

I would guess they don't spend too much time in front of the computer. According to reports their nanny favours Nordic style parenting - getting them all playing outdoors whatever the weather. I can't see them doing much aimless mooching indoors in their 'free' time.

(I do like a bit of aimless mooching myself though.)

luckylavender · 15/06/2024 15:14

My recollection of William and Harry as youngsters is that they were lively like Louis. They weren't perfectly behaved.

Helloworld56 · 15/06/2024 15:18

I would think they have very little screen time. There will be lots of extra curricular activities organized by their school, and as Kate is quite sporty, she will probably want the same for the children.

If you don’t understand why people find offensive about your comment then perhaps you need to look at what might be “wrong” with you instead of speculating in such a manner about a young child.

spriots · 15/06/2024 18:11

A lot of screen time for families is because the parents need to get stuff done.

Given that these children have two part time working parents and a full time nanny, that issue doesn't really arise for them, one of the three of them is always around to occupy the kids.

DedicatedCakeEater · 15/06/2024 18:15

Louis was well behaved imo. He naturally danced to the music - it's not his fault it's all so formal. It's not like he was hitting people and spitting!

You have said it right there - A CHILD YOU DON'T KNOW!

angstridden2 · 15/06/2024 20:52

Looks like a normal bored just 6 year old to me, I thought his dancing to the quick March was sweet. Poor George looks as though he already knows his fate.
