Here’s William ‘raging’ at a paparazzi for stalking and taking photos of his children while they were out bike riding:

This is William at his angriest, hardly the violent rage monster that his haters have described him.

As opposed to harry and his violent temper:

A Clarence House spokesman said the prince was defending himself when the incident, which left a photographer with a cut lip, took place at around 3am this morning.

But the photographer, Chris Uncle, has given a different version of events. Uncle, 24, told the London Evening Standard that the prince "deliberately lashed out".
He said he reported the incident to police shortly afterwards and was considering whether to make a formal complaint.
Uncle, who works for the Big Pictures agency, said: "Prince Harry looked like he was inside the car and we were all still taking pictures. Then suddenly he burst out the car and lunged towards me as I was still taking pictures.

"He lashed out and then deliberately pushed my camera into my face. The base of the camera struck me and cut my bottom lip. At the same time he was repeatedly saying, 'Why are you doing this? Why don't you just leave me alone?'."

And another one:

It’s funny how William is supposedly the violent and short tempered one, after what he supposedly did to his brother (although not sure if I totally believe Harry on this seeing as he has a grudge against William and i doubt harry would not have physically lashed back). Theres been no evidence of this behaviour from William. And the one time he’s been filmed being angry, he has not been violent at all. Unlike harry.

I'd heard about the incident during the cycle ride but not seen or heard it before. William has been described here as "screaming" during it (yes, on the RF boards; no, can't remember where or who).
I've often wondered what "screaming" meant on MN; seems to be a lot more placid than it sounds.

KattyJo · 13/05/2023 08:48

William is very restrained in that video

pilates · 13/05/2023 09:40

I think William will be a fantastic King. He has kindness, loyalty and empathy.

polkadotdalmation · 13/05/2023 10:12

@nonheme So you admit you have no incidences of William having a 'temper' that is in any way out of the ordinary?

So you want to make clearly untrue statements, then gaslight us into thinking it's the truth? Maybe you should learn people are not as stupid as you think.

On the contrary, he sounds unhinged and I would be scared if I was one of his dc around when he says this.

Plenty of reports of William's temper.

Infact, he seems to mostly take it out on his family, rather than some tough guys / paps.

Anyway, not sure how a thread about William turned into a Harry bashing to begin with.

Seriously? Man gets upset and shouts. Like no one, man or woman ever gets upsets and shouts.

Harry attacks (physically) photographer... that is what I would be worried about.

When someone accuses a person of having a temper, one would think it is a constant stream of abuse at their staff, partner, children.

Stop scraping that barrel looking for dirt.

RocketsMagnificent7 · 13/05/2023 11:43

He really doesn't. If anything he sounds a little shaken and upset that his children have been intruded upon.

He isn't screaming or ranting, his voice is raised due to his upset. It happens to us all.

jeffgoldblum · 13/05/2023 11:46

I thought we were supposed to disregard anything written by the dm as unsubstantiated rumours?
Or is this only when it's something about Harry?

Samcro · 13/05/2023 12:07

surely everyone has a temper. every loses the temper at sometime, rl is not like mn where people never do.

notanotheroneagain · 13/05/2023 12:30

I am disputing the narrative that William doesn't have a temper, when it's been reported so many times in press, books, documentaries and even by historians themselves.

Names are named most of the time too, not just 'a source'

Critical of him as a child?
Thought that was out of bounds too!

Someone could troll through trash papers and find just as much crap about Harry and they'd be rightfully lambasted for it!

MysteryBelle · 08/05/2023 19:10

No. He will have plenty of people to help him. His own children which you left out, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Lady Louise, Earl of Wessex James, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh Edward and Sophie. His own wife who will be Queen Catherine. He may have others too in mind.

In fact, his reign may be the most vibrant in regards to a young cast of royals taking on duties in one form or another.

Young cast of royals? William is likely to be 50-60. Kates the same a age as is Zara. Assume Mike is older as is her brother. Beatrice and Eugenie are younger but will still be 44-55. The Wessex kids at least will be 25-39

Yes I concede the kids will be in their 20s if he lasts 20 years, but may still be in school and education if it's a decade.

Samcro · 13/05/2023 12:57

i don't blame W for having a temper, so he is out with his family and off duty. they should be left in peace. ever the rf deserve some downtime.

I think I remember - and also that person thought he was absolutely fine in getting chased by a random man with a camera while having private time with his kids. Fair game apparently.

I don’t think many parents would be happy with a similar scenario. I think he was remarkably restrained on the circumstances.

As for a temper? I would think most folk have had a moment or two of that in their lives without enduring the same level of intrusion or provocation.

I’m not sure that being heir to the throne makes you exempt from losing your temper.

Will he be a good King? I can’t see why not.

pilates · 13/05/2023 13:17

unhinged? - the weak attempts to discredit William are laughable. Quite rightly he was annoyed at being stalked by a photographer when out with his family.

Georgiepud · 08/05/2023 19:32

I think it's a reasonable ? to ask.
I am an only child and despite having cousins and my own kids, I have always longed for a sibling or two to support me and to talk things through. William won't have the benefit of his brother to do this.

He’s only got himself to blame. He could have supported his brother in time of need.

KattyJo · 13/05/2023 16:36

William performs his duties with dignity and assurance, and he is clearly devoted to his wife, kids, and father.

I'm glad the public is seeing more of William and Kate. I love the new video released on their YouTube chanel with behind-the-scenes footage from the coronation weekend.

So he's not even allowed the luxury of genuine emotion? I'd prefer someone who gets upset for a righteous reason, like his children's privacy, than a cold fish. But each to their own.
