Baby Sussex: last chance for a guess?

I think it will be born tomorrow, it will be a girl and they’ll call her Rosa Elizabeth.

What’s everyone else (who’s interested) thinking?

What if she goes for an entirely African name? Any guesses?

What part of Africa are her descendents from? I see they're reportedly looking at a temporary move to Africa for a custom-made role there.

Obviously her Mum is African-American, but I'm not sure what part of Africa she's from.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 15:51

There are some fabulous African girls names. Can't think of boys ones at the minute.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 15:54

Mailika (meaning Angel) sounds lovely.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 15:55

Spelt that wrong I think - It's Malaika.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 15:56

Then again, her own name is Rachel which is a Biblical name, so maybe she'll go Biblical. Sarah is a lovely name.

Connieston · 30/04/2019 15:58

I've already guessed twin girls with names something like Frances, Diana, Doria, Elizabeth. There was much speculation based on royal website page searches that it's something like Arthur James and a boy. Haven't read the thread to see if that's been discussed already!

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 15:58

Rebecca is another biblical one I think (must return to church lol).

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 16:00

Connieston - yes I think I linked to a story on it upthread.

They've reserved pages Prince Arthur, Prince James and Prince Alexander.

Connieston · 30/04/2019 16:25

@AuldJosie I suppose that could have been left over from Prince Louis? Maybe that was his shortlist!

JaneEyre07 · 30/04/2019 17:13

Yes they were in the mix for Prince Louis.

Don't forget that this baby won't be a Prince or Princess.

SquirmOfEels · 30/04/2019 17:13

If they went for Luther, wouldn't everyone think Idris?

canveyisland · 30/04/2019 17:15

People are thinking James? Really??

er....

Baby Sussex: last chance for a guess?
RoseAndRose · 30/04/2019 17:17

If it's a boy, will he be the Earl of Dumbarton (like Prince Edward's son uses his subsidiary title Viscount Severn)?

lyralalala · 30/04/2019 17:19

Don't forget that this baby won't be a Prince or Princess.

If they were reserving pages (is that a thing? I dunno) then they would likely reserve the Prince or Princess pages for when Charles becomes King as they automatically get the upgrade then, if the Queen doesn't decide to do LP's at the time of the birth.

I can't see them using James because Viscount Servern is James.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 17:21

Tis a mystery. I hate waiting.

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 17:22

PUSH WOMAN!

Lol - never mind that you're possibly not even due yet - but could you please push a little teeny bit to see if baby comes out?

llangennith · 30/04/2019 17:35

They've reserved pages Prince Arthur, Prince James and Prince Alexander.

I read that too. I just can't imagine Mrs Sussex calling her baby Arthur!

BertrandRussell · 30/04/2019 17:46

James for a boy
Rose for a girl

Nice strong simple non controversial names.

AGoodWench · 30/04/2019 17:49

A girl called Rowan.

JaneEyre07 · 30/04/2019 19:42

DM are saying that HM The Queen visited them over Easter weekend, as did Kate and William whilst they were all at Windsor.

I'm fairly sure she's had the baby, and they will announce the birth when she's fit and well again so she can cope with inevitable onslaught of media appearances by her family in the US.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth · 30/04/2019 21:41

Is forgotten about her awful family Sad.

It would be rather against Royal Convention..........?

No, I think KP have dealt with worse than half-siblings of Meghan.

From what I gather, she was the only child of her parents together. Father went on to be with someone else and has a few kids.

Her mother was not an idiot and has an MA in Social Studies. She also practices yoga (really good for the body) and probably why she has never felt the need to comment on anything. I see her a little like the Elderly Korean Lady (I'm aware she's not Korean before ye start). She just seems calm. And will be lovely for Meghan to have around.

floraloctopus · 01/05/2019 02:57

I think that the baby will be born in May. Just a hunch, no real evidence.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth · 01/05/2019 03:27

Agreed her mum looks lovely. I would def go to her yoga class if she was nearby.

I think her Mum looked so alone at the wedding, and yet, you could see that she didn't give a crap her dd was becoming a princess, you could see she was just hoping - 'I hope you're happy baby'. It was just pure love and concern that you could see.
I think her Mum will be a very much needed rock during these times - especially with every half sibling wanting to sell books.
I suspect she gets her mother's strength as I'd surely have had a melt-down by now if it was me.
