Still reeling from the sudden death of Penelope. But I saw this cat a few weeks before Pen died and did have a few fleeting thoughts about whether it was worth trying again with two. (Decided probably not!) She won’t be coming home for a couple of months as she has probable ringworm that needs treating.
But I’ve met her, and she’s an absolute poppet. And I suspect quite a sassy madam. She’s about the same size as Penelope so almost certainly has small cat syndrome. 🤣

She’s had her second vaccination today. And cried all the way to the vet. The foster carer stopped the special shampoos as the vet doesn’t think it’s ringworm. But her skin has got worse since stopping them. Foster carer and rescue lady are still convinced it is ringworm. Cultures not back yet.

Surely after this length of time the vet should have done skin or hair samples & sent them off to the lab? There's a pretty standard test which takes I think 2-3 weeks for the cultures to grow, and I thought was the go to test if there is any suspicion at all of ringworm. It would pick up any other fungal infections that may be there.

Speaking from memory, as it ran through a stables we had our horse at many years ago.
