Still reeling from the sudden death of Penelope. But I saw this cat a few weeks before Pen died and did have a few fleeting thoughts about whether it was worth trying again with two. (Decided probably not!) She won’t be coming home for a couple of months as she has probable ringworm that needs treating.
But I’ve met her, and she’s an absolute poppet. And I suspect quite a sassy madam. She’s about the same size as Penelope so almost certainly has small cat syndrome. 🤣

Oh she's pretty!

Pudmyboy · 07/10/2026 15:23

Welcome Clover, sweet girl. I hope she is cured soon, so you can introduce her to her forever home 😻
And sending condolences, Pen was a darling 😺

MissyPuds · 07/10/2026 15:32

She is gorgeous!!

Hopefulbride18 · 07/10/2026 16:40

Awww she's adorable! Welcome Clover 🍀

Breadcat24 · 07/10/2026 17:55

Welcome Clover- let us hope this lovely girl gets over her ringworm quick

Purplecatshopaholic · 07/10/2026 18:12

Aww, you get the pets you’re meant to have op. Clover is meant to be with you.

MyManinCaracas · 07/10/2026 18:28

Ah bless her, she’s beautiful. I hope you have many happy years together. 😻

AlwaysRightISwear · 07/10/2026 19:39

Hello Clover! She looks lovely.

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 07/10/2026 19:51

I’m not keen on her current name. And clover is the only one that has stuck. Penelope’s booking for the cattery for next year has been swapped to Clover, so I think It’ll stick.

She’s only three. And has been seen by the vet several times and is otherwise healthy.

could you try calling her Silver - near enough Clover and goes with Mithril

Pabbel · 07/10/2026 22:32

She is beyond cute .
I think Clover suits her, and she does look sassy!

AlwaysRightISwear · 08/10/2026 07:09

Clover is almost dairy :)

Threetoedsloth · 08/10/2026 07:43

Oh my word- she's gorgeous. I heartily approve of Clover having had one for over 18 years. She was the light of our lives.

Allergictoironing · 08/10/2026 07:50

She looks like she really wants to be scritched around her jaw and under her chin - bet she's very soft there ❤

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 08/10/2026 21:09

My sister is objecting to the name Clover. She things she should be called Pigeon. 🙄

AlwaysRightISwear · 08/10/2026 21:12

You should know by now to ignore her.

Puppylucky · 09/10/2026 10:41

That said I do like Pigeon as a name !

Allergictoironing · 09/10/2026 18:40

By default if your sister likes something it MUST be heinous!

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 09/10/2026 22:04

True. 🤣

If I get one more lecture from my sister about Persians being over bred and deformed etc. I will get Clover to scratch her. I don’t disagree at all, but she brings it up all
the time. But I love the breed and they fit in with my lifestyle. And I always have rescues.

OP posts:
Pudmyboy · 10/10/2026 11:07

Families can be trying! You know so much about Persians, she can't tell you anything you don't know already and it's not like you are breeding them or in some odd way keeping the breeding going by rescuing them.
The cats get a very knowledgeable and loving parent and have the best life with you. Even if that sometimes means they move on to someone else, because you recognise that your home isn't working for them.
Would you like some earplugs for when you are with your sister?😹

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · 10/10/2026 20:51

@Pudmyboyshe argues that by rescue of them it is encouraging bad breeding. We actually get on really well. She just likes to tease me.

How is Clover getting on ?

InQuiresandplaceswheretheysing · Yesterday 11:17

All right I think. I’m trying not to bombard the foster carer with messages!
