Las Vegas Cash GIF by DYD Sports & Betting Brand

And while the cats are thus engaged, their human slaves are still finishing the turkey and Christmas pud, and idly placing bets on whether or not Kitty will use her new cat tree.

Your boy sounds like he was a real character @Pudmyboy Thank you for being here reading all our cat stories.

I gave the tribe some pieces of sausage earlier. Toad has a tendency to take pieces of meat away from the other cats and then growl while he's eating it. None of them have ever tried to take food from him so I have no idea why he does it. Anyway, today he decided to go one step further and ran upstairs with his piece of sausage. Thankfully I know he is a greedy little beast so I have no worries about finding a piece of sausage hidden somewhere in a few days/weeks time.

RumNotRun · 06/01/2025 20:18

Fred and Frank were very good boys and ate their sausage without having to run off anywhere. They are now chilling next to me, looking adorable.

So sorry @Pudmyboy - always hard at anniversaries and special occasions
Do you think you might ever be ready to welcome a new kitty into your life? I am sure you will know if or when the time is right x

Not sure, I rent and may be moving this or next year, maybe then, or maybe foster, but not yet 🐱

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/01/2025 20:25

Oh PudMyBoy I'm so sad that you've got to the anniversary of Pud's death, and of course, you're grieving his loss. I remember all the anniversaries of mine. It hurts. Always. And Pud was such a special boy. I'm so sorry that you're hurting like this. Your presence on these threads is much appreciated.

Over the years, I've found that cat-shaped holes in my heart can only be plugged by more cats.

When you're ready.

@Pudmyboy He was very beautiful. I'm so sorry it has been a sad anniversary for you.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 06/01/2025 20:54

Pud was absolutely gorgeous. 💐

HouseofHolbein · 06/01/2025 21:00

Pud is absolutely gorgeous. Very similar markings to my Gomez 💕

Esgaroth · 06/01/2025 21:11

Pud's colouring is very similar to my old Mac, too - the cat we had when I was about 4 to 18. Tabbies have always been my favourite because of him. I must remember to try and scan some pics of Mac next time I go to my parents' house.

Needless to say, I think Pud is very handsome!

Breadcat24 · 06/01/2025 21:28

Pud looks like a star

Tabbies are my favourite too, oddly enough! Pud is extremely handsome.

RumNotRun · 06/01/2025 21:55

Sorry @Pudmyboy I missed that you'd posted a photo. He was a very handsome boy and looks like he would have been fantastic to cuddle with.

HouseofHolbein · 06/01/2025 22:15

Gomez sitting on me this morning 💕very similar markings the gorgeous Pud but a little bit smaller I think

Pud was a lovely looking cat, beautiful colouring.

Pud 😻
💐 @Pudmyboy

Pudmyboy · 06/01/2025 23:12

Thank you all, I am getting a bit teary, you are all being so lovely 😻 Pud was a little tubby dark tabby , ordinary but special, and I like that picture because it shows off his near-symmetrical markings.
We have all got, or had, lovely cats, as well as bitey scratchy cats, incomprehensible cats, attempted usurper cats, saints and villains..... they make the world a better place. Most of the time😻

coastergirl · 06/01/2025 23:55

Pud looks like he was a lovely boy.

I might be tempted to send you my two. They have been complete ratbags these past couple of days. Constantly fighting, leaping on us at the worst moments, trying to steal food, refusing to come in out of the rain, walking across crowded tables and knocking things off. Not a minute goes by without one of us saying "ffs Walter/Benny, will you bloody stop it!" Walter knocked a metal baking tray onto the kitchen floor earlier, scaring my 9yo half to death. And last night Benny fell from the top of the cat tree with a crash after trying to knock Walter off.

Here are the adorable villains.

Posted this on another (non cat) thread yesterday - but thought I'd share here. Photo of Karl looking utterly evil. He had really just woken up and was mid-yawn 😁

I love catching them mid yawn. Here is Kettle looking like some kind of sea monster.

From the sound of the snoring, Toad, Fred, and Vix are enjoying the heat from the radiator. I'm never quick enough to get yawning photos.
