Las Vegas Cash GIF by DYD Sports & Betting Brand

And while the cats are thus engaged, their human slaves are still finishing the turkey and Christmas pud, and idly placing bets on whether or not Kitty will use her new cat tree.

Thank you @Allergictoironing and @EmpressaurusKitty and sorry to everyone for going off topic with fox related drama. Boris and Matilda are puzzled why I keep disappearing outside with cat food.

EmpressaurusKitty · 05/01/2025 20:07

I’m all up for fox-related drama.

We have cat-related drama. I’m feeding Betty-next-door until Thursday & Kitty has noticed that I keep coming in smelling of Somebody Else. I have to be inspected & re-scented.

Oh no. Don't apologise. I'm keen to find out if Foxy-Loxy recovers. Poor bugger.

I definitely want to know how NMF gets on too.

JaceLancs · 05/01/2025 20:36

Finlay is not enjoying the snow - it’s 3-4 inch deep and he’s only small so coming home very damp and chilled
Last night he slept through final endurance Lego build and showed no interest in playing with the string for the rigging

This just popped up on my active threads and I had to say it must be the most MNetty ongoing thread ever.

Would that all of MN was so lovely and supportive!

It is a delightful thread and I found its predecessors enormously comforting when having a difficult time at work last year. (Though my cat wouldn't approve as she hates all other cats Hmm)

It's always the older cats who trap me. The babies are being perfect angels and lying near me.

And yet so many people say they want lap cats. They have no idea.

Sadly, I don't have a cat due to my dog not being cat friendly but I do love them and enjoy watching a neighbours cat who likes to visit my garden it's a very feisty cat. I saw it walk across the top of my 6ft gates to stalk a seagull. Here it is sitting on my patio furniture.

My previous cat Alizè was the perfect lap cat. He'd curl up on me and sleep but would let me move him if I needed to get up. He'd then come back for cuddles once I was back in my seat. Toad and Vixen just get stroppy if I ask them to move.

Aha! You have a Not My Cat (NMC).

You need to find out its name and sex for us, if you can.

Half this thread is about our many and various NMCs.

In their youth, they probably read the same books about catting as Gizmo did.

Maybe he's running online "how to cat" courses.

If you change your mind I think Grumpy might have the perfect ginger boy 😂

I'm also very interested in the fox mange medication as I have at least one fox a year that has it and the past few years all the cubs seem to get it and do not thrive unfortunately. I know if you contact a rescue they will catch and put down rather than treat as it can be too traumatic for a wild creature as the usual treatment is bathing.

Yes, two.
Both of them come and sit there, several times a day.

They're very greedy.

Kitty knows that the Dreamies live in the cat drawer and that when I get them out, I like it if she stands up for it.

Sometimes she simply checks I’m watching her, then goes & stands up by the drawer.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/01/2025 11:38

That bugger Gizmo stayed out all night.

At 6am we heard him miaow, and I opened the door, to discover him and Picard arguing in the front garden.

Sigh. He eventually deigned to come in, while I froze on the doorstep.

I saw Picard's tail disappearing in the direction of his house.

How could misrepresent poor misunderstood Gizmoso so cruelly ? He just wants to be loved you know. Just because he's a immigrant.
I'm regretting the day I had him deported (no I'm not 🤣🤣🤣🤣).
