Getting a sphynx kitten

Off to see a sphynx kitten next week with the hopes of bringing home when ready in a couple of weeks

What essentials do other sphynx owners recommend?

As in hairless dogs, the hairless gene can also cause major dental issues.

I cannot imagine why anyone who claims to love animals would encourage the breeding of these cats by buying a kitten (let alone the repulsive issues others have described above).

I was also looking to get one many years ago, but after all the research I did, decided against it.

I can't remember exactly, as this was a long time ago. But from what I read, they need bathing regularly as they get dirty and oily. Nails clipping, ears cleaning.

They are always quite cold and need jumpers, blankets / cosy beds around the house and I read some people had heated throws.

Apparently they have very stinky bowel movements too and sensitive stomachs, according to someone selling one I reached out to (which was one of the main things that put me off)

Also very clingy and playful/curious similar to a Bengal. (I had a Bengal many years ago and he was more work than the kids)

I opted for a ragdoll instead and have been happy with my decision. I wouldn't say needy but they do like to follow me around the house and sit next to me. Very friendly but not very active or destructive. They're extremely laid back and is happy to relax on the sofa all day. I've found my two to be very low maintenance.
