It's absolutely everywhere! Everything she sits on is covered in white hair! See the cover on the table behind her!

The only sensible option is to varnish the cat.

Alternatively let enough hair build up so that it looks like it's supposed to be like that.

I have got one of these, which works reasonably well

I use the remote control on the sofas. The rubber of the buttons scoops it all up into a neat little ball.

Get a cat that matches your upholstery?

Honestly, my current cats are grey and I'm glad of it. I used to have a very fluffy ginger one who left hair all over my work trousers.

Lint roller?

NightBirdy · 27/07/2024 18:27

White cat - yep, been there done that! Although you have the worst of both worlds and also have a cat who will leave black hair on your white clothes!

A sweep with a damp hand will remove cat hair from clothes, soft furnishings and carpets.

rubber washing-up gloves

Sunshineafterthehail · 27/07/2024 18:27

Tumble dry bedding gets lots of unseen hair off. Def don't suggest the dcat goes in although one of mine got in and survived after a few moments of spinning... Poor thing. The Guilt....

Fontainebleau007 · 27/07/2024 18:29

Lindt rollers. I've seen specific pet ones that have really good reviews.

Yiayoula · 27/07/2024 18:30

Lindt

Can you eat them afterwards?

CormorantStrikesBack · 27/07/2024 18:38

Hoovering the cat regularly helps.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/07/2024 18:39

The best thing ever were sticky kits from
Lakeland. But they discontinued them.

Fontainebleau007 · 27/07/2024 18:41

@MaidOfAle Hahaha! Omg I didn't realise the typo, I'm making Lindt holder decorations that's probably why my phone changed it lol 😂

Grazyna80 · 27/07/2024 18:54

Lovely cat !

sodabreadjam · 27/07/2024 18:58

Depends on the surface and depends on the type of cat fur. Over 5 decades and 5 cats - some long-haired, some short haired - we have used various vacuum cleaners with assorted attachments, a bristle clothes brush, a lint roller and broad sellotape or parcel tape wound round our hands. Most recent purchase, a rubber brush, seems to be good on the stair carpet - haven't tried it on upholstery yet.

Oldraver · 27/07/2024 19:01

Something rubber, I have a rubber semi circle from my work that's brill

So rubber gloves, one of those new rubber hand brushes or the grooming mits for cats

Mine has taken to sleeping on my favourite, hand made throw. I made it to use when I was having chemo, GS called it Nanas Poorly Blanket. 10 years on, we still love it. I was sure it was wrecked there was so much cat hair on it even after I washed it. DH said no problem, popped it in the tumble dryer and it's like new. All the hair came off. I'm going to be much more careful about brushing her in future although she is currently boycotting it now that it's clean

WetBandits · 27/07/2024 19:02

Look at that face, she isn’t one bit sorry Grin

I have two fluffies and one shorthair, and the shorthair sheds the most (she’s also mostly white)

We have a giant lint roller for the sofa and mini lint rollers dotted around the house. I brush her daily to minimise the shedding but it’s still EVERYWHERE. We hoover a lot!

Surely you don't need anything to hold llindt? It goes straight in the mouth.

sleekcat · 27/07/2024 19:04

I just hoover up the hair with the attachment. I do it every day on my bed and sofa. I don't like the lint rollers as either they run out of the paper or you have to wash the thing in the sink and risk getting hairs clogging up the pipes.

OhcantthInkofaname · 27/07/2024 19:08

A FurBlaster. I bought on a Amazon.

@Thatsnotmynose lol that is true 😂😂

TheGriffle · 27/07/2024 19:12

Sticky lint roller and lint brush get daily use in our house. We have one black cat and one white and grey who sheds like nobody’s business.
