It's absolutely everywhere! Everything she sits on is covered in white hair! See the cover on the table behind her!

I use the remote control on the sofas. The rubber of the buttons scoops it all up into a neat little ball.

This is definitely worthy of a Nobel Prize. I bow before you 😂

I use lint rollers they really work, but can't be bothered to use them all the time!

MerelyPlaying · 27/07/2024 22:02

Sigh. I stand at the washing-line picking little clumps of hair off the duvet cover, as the washing machine doesn’t remove it but makes it congregate together.

Wet rubber glove is the best solution on upholstery. Lint rollers in the car for my black work clothes, I have just had hard floors laid downstairs and I bought a rubber broom although I haven’t found it helps much.

I brush the cat regularly but it makes no difference. Never, ever having a long-haired cat again*.

*Yeah, I said that the two previous times as well. I’m a slow learner. 😄

I have 3 cats including a fluffy all white one, others are different clours and short hair but moult just as bad.
I've used all sorts of gadgets. Rubber cloves etc.

Its brilliant, gets hairs off velvet sofas, can use it on bedding mats etc. It's gone up a bit in price now but I'll be buying a 2nd one for sure.

There’s a French phrase I apply to this problem, @MissSkate— “you don’t.”

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 28/07/2024 00:57

“You don’t”, said Bob

I have a similar cat and a black one. You never get rid of it.

MerelyPlaying · 28/07/2024 07:57

But Bob is so gorgeous, who really cares? 😍

These. I go over the sofa and curtains each morning with these and it keeps on top of it nicely.

susiedaisy1912 · 28/07/2024 08:18

Groom your cat everyday so that you collect as much of the fur as possible. Then lower your standards and accept that this is your life now.

soupfiend · 28/07/2024 08:19

Sticky rollers or lindt (like this now!) roller

There is no other way as all the others rely on getting your hand wet or they dont gather all the bits up, or getting the hoover out. I think I keep sticky rollers in business just by myself

Also, dependent on when the cat arrives and what you're doing home wise, I have in the past made sure that with a white cat, we havent had dark furniture.

Unfortunately at the moment, I have a black cat and white sofa in one room and cream in other

Bad combination

And right now there is the most enormous fur ball she coughed up this morning on the landing. Havent had the energy to get rid of it yet. Urgh.
