That's one of the drawbacks of living a long way from civilisation. Hospital appointments are generally a hundred miles away.
If there's an emergency, there's the air ambulance, and we have quite a good A and E fifteen miles away. But they have to get patients airlifted quite often.
We have a brilliant GP surgery though. There are three doctors and an ANP.
If we ring for an appointment, the phone is answered immediately and we're seen that day or the next.
We also have a pharmacy who produce repeat prescriptions on the same day they're requested.
