High meat wet food, what is the output like with your cat?

If you feed quality wet food (and your cat uses a litter tray) do you find the resulting output is a lot smaller and firmer, any constipation?

As opposed to the logs that are produced with the stuff that is full of maize, sugar, carageenan and various fillers that pass through quickly?

I don't mean a smallish change, I mean really tiny turds that hide in the litter.

I know good food is denser and takes longer to process and to expect a smaller output, just interested in other experiences and if you have a rounder cat with high meat or a cat shaped one. (Mine is rotund and football shaped).

@AnnaMagnani Mine also had horrible poos on Animonda Carny.

They're now on Harrington's grain free, which is less bad poo-wise.

Aldi shite because one is prone to UTIs and I need him on wet food but he also has his preferred biscuits which he will happily knock over a granny for I would try them on raw food HOWEVER they don't actually like meat except a bit of turkey at Christmas he sits on my seat at the table until he is given a piece takes it away to "kill" it and that's it the only meat he eats

Question for raw feeders - the raw food is much more expensive but do you find you need to feed much less of it? I have ordered some Luna and Me patties for my 3 cats and the website suggests to feed 100-150g per day per cat, which isn't a lot!

There are cheaper options out there such as nutriment. Luna and me are on the top end. I’ve been feeding nutriment then found an online raw food supplier, primarily aimed at dogs but if you choose the 80/10/10 mixes they are aimed at cats too. I just think what I’m spending on the food in the long run I’ll be spending much less at the vets!

Someone should have told Harry how bad dry food was for him! He made it to 18 with mainly dry food, the only thing he never went off, so I was obviously doing something right.

I tried him on raw food once but he looked at it as though I'd gone mad and wouldn't go near it so back to his favourite James Wellbeloved it was.

I only insisted he had some wet food when he needed medication otherwise he could have carried on eating what he wanted.
