No no no! I appreciated them! It is super complicated and this is a cool thread where we all shamelessly use our cats to make everyone smile. I really appreciate the kindness but I don’t want to turn it into the Cecile is miserable show, that’s all. You all seem like amazing people. Velvet makes me smile and I want to spread her amazingness like Linney, Phoebe, Lasagna just to name three! I’m sorry I have been a little bit fragile on the thread for a few days and I really appreciate everyone’s support and the excellent cat content in between. 💐to everyone.

No sign of TC on a raft with a skull and crossbones flag just yet though...

They actually might be going ballistic because things are being moved! Not doubting that you know your own cats better than I do but ours always give a huge side-eye in the form of weird activity when my parents go on a little holiday and I cat-sit - you can’t hide that suitcase or moving box! Animals often have much more refined senses about big natural events. We live on the Fens and Velvet loves water so wouldn’t be too worried but she’s shown behaviour change with the flood threats…
If any cat is getting on a raft we need to know, though. We have a devoted plastic lizard (will try to get a pic with V at some point) but you can’t trust any furry creature flying the skull and crossbones…

BTW is that a gazebo in your garden, or a conservatory? I think we need to come on holiday to your area and drop in for a G & T. When the water level's gone down.

@TheShellBeach isn't it a greenhouse? Or possibly an observation station where Grumpy can sit in safety whilst monitoring for invaders (TC).

I definitely think we should have a Litter Tray trip to visit Grumpy. Can we also do some messing about in boats?

Do I detect a Wind in the Willows reference? I’m a singer and have a couple of other little hobbies but the rest of my family are very into rowing (Oxbridge town). The corpsing when we watched the rowing about in circles on The Traitors was next level. Velvet would be overjoyed with a flood: she loves a shower, a handwashing or even use of a toilet. No kink shaming please.

They're going ballistic simply because we aren't letting them out this evening and they are BORED. They are running around like kittens, leaping out from under chairs and slapping each other, and then scratching at outside doors. Bloody daft animals 😂.

Shell you are welcome to a G&T in the greenhouse anytime. Converting it to a cybercatcafé actually sounds quite an appealing idea.

@YesItsMeIDontCare here's the shirt! The pattern is old (as in, probably 16th century) charts. Given my last job was as a chart corrector, and the shirt goes purrfectly with The Cardigan, I couldn't resist it despite being ten times what I consider expensive for a shirt.

I could have sworn I'd posted a pic when I finished The Cardigan, but looking back, I didn't! So here it is ...

I can assure everyone here that should our greenhouse ever be converted to a bijou cat cafe then there will of course be an open invitation to the denizens of the Litter tray (human and feline alike) to join in.
Meanwhile you'll have to put up with a photo of Sybil cocooned in a blanket.
