She went very peacefully on my knee. The vet agreed it was the right time. She was the most amazing furball. I'll miss her terribly.

@Snooks1971 poor you. It's Judy awful. But I know it will get better. I just don't want Cheddar to be lonely.

@Ellmau when I told the rescue about Magic (they know me very well) I said I would like another in due course, preferably and exotic to save on grooming bills! And they have one coming in soon that I get first refusal on. She looks adorable. But she needs to be very soppy because Cheddar is so passive and gentle, and at high risk of being bullied. She's a show cat, so can't imagine she'll be overly lively!

Cheddar came home ten days after Maia died, and it was the thing that helped most.

She will. Just as Maia did. Cheddar was absolutely the making of Magic, she allowed her to finally be the boss. And taught her how to cat. (Although Cheddar's cat credentials are also questionable!)

It's just popped up on my Timehop that it's Maia's anniversary today. Maia climbed into Magic's basket while we waited for the vet. And Magic did the same thing with Cheddar this time.

Rang Tesco to cancel Magic's insurance, which was hard. But the premium has reduced from £118 to £33!

@FormerlyPathologicallyHappy, I wonder? Maia was unbelievably bossy and very dominant. Magic blossomed from the moment she died. Which was very bittersweet. She was much happier being top cat with Cheddar, who is very passive and gentle.
