KatKin - is it really worth it or overrated?

Now that I have finally de-iced and cleaned my freezer, I can finally make space for KatKin but is it really worth it?

I have two cats, I buy 3 different foods, two wet (perfect fit + blink) and one dry (whiskas) - the reason is - 1st cat loves perfect fit and I get from amazon, he always been on whiskas too but refuses other dry brands - 2nd cat came here on blink so I carried on - they eat each other’s food so they are now both on these 3 brands.
They are not fussy - sometimes I buy samples of different ones and they eat no problems. Never had to deal with upset tummies.

I haven’t got a clue how much I spend on food so I can’t do a price comparison, but will probably be more or less the same.

So, if I give them KatKin would I still need to give them dry food?

Is KatKin overrated?

And how many times a day do you feed your cat? (KatKin or otherwise)

Our tortoiseshell stopped eating due to a growth in her stomach. Katkin was the only food that she would nibble at and slowly over time she got her appetite back, put on weight and regained her glossy fur. It was a real game changer and there was never any waste, unlike with any of the mainstream ones in the supermarket. When she eventually died two years ago, we cancelled the repeat order and Katkin sent us some flowers and a lovely card. The only downside for us was finding the room in the freezer for 48 sachets at a time but it was worth it and given the lack of waste, it worked out cheaper compared to the amount we were binning before.

As a side note, her death at 18 years old was one of the most painful things I've experienced. It really was like a close member of the family had died, one who had always been there, sleeping on the bed, following me around the house and garden, rudely huffing at me when I didn't get something right. Such a massive presence - and then no more. We've recently got a tuxedo black and white cat like the one in the Felix advert. Such a totally different personality - chilled and a bit thick. Adorable.

I forgot to mention that her poos stopped smelling and formed up nicely. Her eyes became brighter on Katkin - properly balanced diet I guess. Also, the sachets came with a clip to fold down the top to prevent it smelling in the fridge. Failing that, pop any open sachets into a resealable bag.

My cat wouldn’t touch the food. However, the cat litter is amazing. Eliminates absolutely all pee odours and you need to only change the tray monthly if you scoop out all solids and clumped pee. I wouldn’t have believed it had I not used it but I’ll never use any other litter now.
