I did not know that cats humped

I've had cats all my life. I adopted a cat a few months ago. He was a stray, is believed to be around 4 years old, and was already neutered when brought into the cats protection. He's a lovely cat, and has settled in fine, but I only today noticed that he humps blankets. He likes to hold the blankets in his mouth, knead with his paws and purr. I thought this was quite cute, but then I noticed that he mounted the scrunched up blanket, and was humping it! I genuinely didn't know this was a thing with cats.

Our girl cat does it ... kneads with her front paws and thrusts with her back paws.

Oh yeah its a thing.....one of my boys does it but he likes me to watch him.....he brings his wanky blanky into whatever room I'm in, maintains eye contact and puts on a show. I feel a bit weird watching him if I'm honest....kinda like I know I shouldn't look

One of mine (who was neutered slightly later due to COVID) has retained his innocence. The older one is a menace to any passing fluffy blanket. At least he doesn't demand an audience but a recent liaison with my Oodie was not what I had in mind for it.

Oh blimey! I honestly had no idea. Had cats since I was 5 years old, and this is my first wanky blankey cat! Glad to know that we're not alone, and maybe it's "normal".
I thought it was so cute at first, the way he had the blanket in his mouth and was kneading it, purring away. I thought it was something to do with being taken from his mother at a young age, but then he started thrusting on it, and I was a bit grossed out.

My cat does this. He was a stray and neutered at about 18 months. I've heard if they're neutered late they've already discovered sexual pleasure which explains the humping. My cat is visibly aroused when doing this!

Out of 5 male cats I’ve had in my life, only one is a wanker. He likes to climb on the blanket I use to keep me warm on the sofa when I’m under it and has an elaborate ritual which usually involves at least one of his back legs waving in the air and his penis on display. No eye contact is made, thankfully!

Since I notice the times when he does this when I’m sitting under the blanket, I’m not sure if it’s me or the blanket that gets him going. I hope it’s the blanket. I also live in some trepidation that he will do this whilst we have company but so far he has not disgraced us in that way.

I have a very vocal girl cat who humps and rubs herself all over the stairs, she’s driving me mad. Thankfully she gets neutered soon I’m hoping it will settle down, she sets the dog off too.

As soon as I cover myself with a fluffy blanket on the sofa my cat jumps on me and has a good time with the blanket. The furry little perv.

I have a sheepskin over the back of the sofa, it is the wanky blankey mine uses. So I have him humping at eye+ear level, special treat is the shuddering thrusts🙀

Yes! My cat is a real sex pest. He wakes me up in the wee hours bumping various parts of my body. Shoulders and feet are his favourites. He also humps blankets and my duvet. It’s gross. He has a fixed stare and becomes very aroused.

He was a rescue and neutered when he was an older kitten

Yes our male cat Terry does this. Once I caught him humping my dressing gown and he was so aroused that a tiny pink pencil popped out, it grossed me out so much 😳
