How often do you completely change your litter trays

2 indoor cats, 2 trays, cheap litter as I'm currently a f/t carer on a tight budget but a recent sub for wood chip is making me reconsider.

I scoop as soon as anything solid lands and change 2-3 times a week atm.

I absolutely hate the smell of cat wee ( and have a DS with SEN who is hyper sensitive to smells). After trying worlds best, cats best we now use intersand - tracks a bit but for smells ( or lack of!) it’s by far the best. Scoop as soon as notice and it really can go 6-8 weeks before a full change. Even then it isn’t that it’s smelling particularly.

Rarely, I use Cats Best Smart Pellets to a depth of about 5". I just scoop out the clumps and the poo whenever I see any in there - twice a day perhaps.

I scoop up every day and change the litter once a week. It is a covered box which I think helps stop any smells.

Two cats (one of whom prefers to go outside in the summer months) and two trays. Wood pellets. I keep a thick layer in them, and scoop out solids every day, together with areas that have gone sawdust-y/damp, and then change the whole thing every couple of weeks (or when its smelly, whichever is the sooner). Does anyone else's cat really enjoy playing with stray wood pellets?? Hours of fun.

@MaybeHeIsMyCat

I don't. Thick ish layer of cats best and the wee never touches the bottom so I scoop it out and that's it If I pull all the litter back then the bottom is clean (he's a neat cat anyway!)
I do the same. To be fair he hardly uses it as he goes in the garden but even if he does nothing touches the bottom.

Two indoor cats, one hooded tray - had one each but they're not fussed about sharing - pets at home wood pellets, scooped daily and changed completely once a week.

Never quite sure how we're supposed to dispose of it - scoops go in nappy bags and the weekly change goes in a bin bag into the black bin!

Really wish we had somewhere better to keep the tray though. It lives in the hallway as the cats aren't allowed in the kitchen.

We have two indoor cats and two trays, we scoop whenever a poo is evident and full change about every two weeks sometimes a bit sooner if a sense a slight whiff! We use a deep layer of non clumping wood pellets.

1 cat, 2 litter trays, using cat's best wood pellet litter.

Scoop out poo every day, and then a full clean every 2-3 weeks, either when it becomes too dusty or when I start to notice a smell.
