Just because I've got a day off work today and me and my gorgeous ginger rescue girl are lounging on my bed in the sunshine and I'm thinking how lucky I am to have her.
Here she is on the day she arrived in May last year.

So just feeling the love for rescues and would love to see yours

Max (the fluffy black and white one) and Minnie (the sleek but chubby tabby).
Their mum was a stray who got into my conservatory nearly 5 years ago and gave birth to 4 kittens.
Lots of fun but irritating when one of them wants to get up earlier than I want to Grin

Flo came home to us on Christmas Eve. She has completely captured my heart. She is a real snuggler. When we cuddle, it triggers really powerful memories of cuddling my own children.

Aw....so many lovely pics and stories!

My kitty came to me via socially distanced rehoming. I live alone and had endured chemo for many months during 2019 then was just back at work and anticipating normality in March last year when lockdown happened. Basically I've been at home largely on my own for almost 2 years now. My little kitty has been so important to me....we rescued each other to be honest.

This is her now....saying 'play with me'....and s bit fatter (as am I Grin)

Purrlock, aged five. He was two when we adopted him.

This is Poppy. We adopted her from a local rescue. She was born there as her mum was pregnant when rescued. Mum and all other kitties had been adopted and Poppy was left because she was black. She was 4 months old. She'll be 10 this year. She is a grumpy old madam but getting softer in her old age and is a much loved member of our family. 😻

Allow me to introduce Charlie (the tabby) and Lucky. Both adopted from Battersea dog and cats home. Charlie is Mr. Personality and Lucky is just plain gorgeous. They've ruled the roost since they came to live with us in 2007.

Here is my Nixon. He's been with me nearly 3 years. The cuddliest, cutest, most affectionate floof you ever could meet.

Since there already seems to be a plethora of black rescues here, I'll let my three black Battersea moggies join in too.

@SoupDragon

One of our 2 younger black cats has a kink at the end of his tail. It's the only foolproof check. Grin

cricketmum84 · 26/02/2021 22:29

Ivy - the skinny short haired one
Betsy - the floof explosion

Both adopted from Bradford cat watch rescue kittens. Ivy was chucked from a car in a box with mama and other kittens. Betsy was found alone under a hedge and hand reared.

Captain of my ship, the Cap'n.

Arrived on Valentine's Day 2020 and a year on, he made my lockdown lovely. Has 'grown' a bit and rather bossy, and so affectionate and chatty now.

Beats his floofy tail on my head in time with his purrs to send me to sleep.

Our girl was found as a kitten in the grounds of a very posh hotel. She likes the good things in life!

To the PP with the new rescue kitty, please don't worry... Margot was terrified when we got her and still v nervy at times but she loves us now, it took a good few months. She was used for breeding so I don't think she was ever a pet
