Ok, so we have one black cat, f, who, (bless her cottons) has hardly any voice - when she does miaow you struggle to hear it. The other, a big, m, half-Bengal, half-something else, bugger of a cat, miaows all the time. We used to think it was because he wanted feeding, buut it's not juust that, it's also when he wants to be let out, or when we're walking in or our of the house, or just to get us to watch him eat - weirdo. Aside from that though, can you think of any reason why he might be miaowing so much? He's not in pain.

ours has developed a two-syllable miaow that i swear means "hello" and also talks while eating when it's particularly tasty - it comes out like ang-ang-ang, which i've decided means "thank you" :D

The same cat that shouts when she can’t find us also calls ‘mum’ when she’s about to be sick. It’s handy for preempting the clean up operation and moving her off any soft furnishings Grin

My little cat likes to tell us loudly if she’s rescued us from her pink fluffy snake, she likes to bring us the dead body in the night so we can congratulate her on her bravery and expert hunting skills Wink

Ours does a stare into the oven looking at the empty oven dish and howl. This initially means cook me a big chicken instantly then it becomes I'm really cross that you not got a big chicken for me if you haven't got one or why isn't it ready yet if you have.

We spent about £1,000 on tests checking nothing wrong but no absolutely nothing, just become a diva in her old age. She just howled. Grin

One of my parent’s cats likes to bunny kick their bedroom door in the night until someone gets up, even if the door is open. She just likes to control her peasants

@CentrifugalBumblePuppy

Our half Bengal is very loud, he can’t go a millisecond without yelling his latest thought.

@VillageGreenPreservationSoc our heterochromic white boy isn’t deaf, but he doesn’t meow, he has a high pitched ‘meep’.

And our big, big black giant oaf of a lad says the word ham. They’re all bonkers, like their owners!

Here’s shouty & ham, with the meeper eating his brother’s cat food & cream cheese birthday cake (again, we’re a bit loopy).

Oh, that's interesting - I thought heterochromic white cats were always deaf. Yours are lush. Makes me want to get another, but I worry about the road :(
