My beautiful Luna had 4 Siamese kittens at 6am this morning with no help from us!
So proud of her 😻

Yes they are pedigree and I'm not sure if we will do it again.

These are very much wanted kittens and have loving homes ready for them. All these homes have moggies too - why is having a pedigree litter such an awful thing to do?

Our cat was very very keen to meet up with the stud cat - a female siamese on heat has to be seen and heard to be believed!

We might have another litter next year and then we will get her spayed.

You don't have to be 'registered' to breed cats unless you have more than 3 breeding queens.
You just need both parents pedigrees and the breeding certificate to register the kittens as pedigree Siamese.

I looked at pedigree kittens recently as I'd love one, a Maine Coon, I already have three gorgeous mogs, but I just can't afford it.
I'll perhaps steal all yours instead Wink

I’ve always wanted a Siamese, but they’re virtually impossible to come by.

I’m not sure I’d want a meezer, the Bengal was demanding enough 😹.

They are very cute and she does look pleased with herself.

So if cats stopped having kittens, cats would die out, no more pet cats or am I missing something here

People are so fucking bitchy and it's totally unnecessary!
It took me ages to get a kitten and mine is 'just' a moggy she is the Queen of our house.
Congratulations OP - they are adorable.

OP why do you keep posting under 2 names on this thread?

@HotPatootiebootie

Every single person that says " as if there isn't enough cats/dogs in the world already " ..... well I hope to god you don't have biological children of your own with all the kids in care homes. Other wise that would make you a raging hypocrite. After all, kids deserve a secure loving home and family a damn site more than a moggy does.

Absolutely this!

I had a bet with myself how soon someone would grump about unnecessary breeding. I was 2 posts out.

Gorgeous little fluff balls. My siamese kitten is 5 months old and just fantastic in every way. Love this breed. I can only imagine the noise of a siamese in heat, ours talks non stop just to tell us he has entered the room/sat down/got up/ready to play/ready to sleep, you get the picture Grin

@AlternativePerspective often breeders aren't keen to sell to people with no experience of siamese as they are so noisy and demanding of your attention that they often get returned to the Breeder because the buyer cannot cope!

Also I wouldn't sell one to be on its own - they really need feline company as well as human company.

I'm just very surprised that you found a breeder to sell you an active cat. Usually it requires being well known on the show circuit and having a mentor. Is this the route you went down to purchase an active cat?

I've been a Siamese owner for over 25 years, and have a close family member who breeds, so I didn't have any problems getting a queen.

@ LunaLovegood444 but how do you become an experienced Siamese owner if no-one will sell you one?

I am well aware of Siamese behaviour etc through friends etc who have owned them and having spent considerable time with them, but have never personally owned one, although I have owned moggies obv.

I wouldn’t have a cat right now as my last one was killed on the road a few streets away from here and I wouldn’t want to risk that round here, but I won’t be living here forever, and then....

@AlternativePerspective when you are in a place to have a new kitten, I would emphasise to breeders that you have spent time with Siamese and know what to expect re noise etc- not just that you like their appearance.
That is what I am concerned about as a breeder (if I don't end up keeping them all!) They do really need company too so having another cat will help.
I personally don't like cat shows, it's not my thing, but it's a way into the pedigree world - you could go to some and meet breeders that way.
Also keep an eye on cat rescue homes, as they can find Siamese hard to place.

When I was little, our neighbours had a Meezer. I still pride myself on being able to speak Meezer. I wish they bred them like in the old days. BIG cats, with muscle and real 'tude and a super loud voice.

The kittend above are lovely too :)

Happens with bengals too, people don’t give them what they need.

I’d like to thwack them in the nose with a rolled up newspaper (broadsheet) for not researching the breed better.

I've never met a Siamese in real life but Luna and the kittens look gorgeous, LunaLovegood444. Have you seen Toddlerteaplease's posts AlternativePerspective? Her cats - not Siamese - came from a specialist breed rescue which fits in with LunaLovegood's tips for getting a Siamese when you are in a position to look for one. You do sometimes see moggies which are part Siamese in rescues too. Or would you prefer a pedigree Siamese?
