How often do you clean out your cats litter tray?

Just that really, how often do you?

We have 2 big male cats and 1 litter tray, mainly indoor cats and I’ve never seen them go to the loo outside.
I scoop the poop as soon as I see it, and do a total clear out once a week as it was starting to smell.

I’ve just cleaned it out and immediately both of them have gone and used it so I’m thinking maybe they didn’t want to go when it was so dirty? Should I be changing it more?

We use catsan litter if that makes a difference!

6 cats and 4 go in and out so don't use tray really. 2 female kittens now have to stay in until a vet will spay them as approaching 6 months. Poo taken out as soon as I see it and whole tray cleaned out daily by my son who owns kittens.

When I dispose of poo I use a nappy sack. Then put straight into outdoor bin.

My cat rarely uses hers, if you get Cats Best litter you'll only have to scoop lumps and change it every few weeks. It's the only litter I've found that doesn't smell.

I clean out poo as soon as I see it and change the whole trays every couple of weeks. My boy cat is like @Costacoffeeplease as soon as I clean it the boy has to mark them, and he’s the outdoor moggie not the indoor baby.
