Do cats have a favourite human?

We have a 1 year old neutered male cat very friendly mostly likes to stay indoors he'll go out to toilet and comes in then I see never far away , every night when kids are gone to bed he Will sit on my husbands knee if I had him he'll just go overt to him I'm the 1 who feeds him etc, it drives me mad we have a female also she hates everyone only sits on our knee if she's wet or cold. This is light hearted I'm just wondering

Yep, I'm definitely second best choice. He loves my husband. So if he's sitting on my lap, husband comes in, he immediately jumps up to switch laps. Little arse.

I am definitely my cats favourite Holman. But only because I'm their only Hooman!

Our boy loves me best - he is my little shadow, will only snuggle on my lap, falls asleep on me with his paw resting on my face but generally ignores OH. Our girl is a daddy's girl and shouts at OH when he's upstairs so that he'll lie down with her but generally ignores me... It's worked out well!

Loves my husband. Like adores him, follows him everywhere. Runs to greet him. Cry’s outside the bathroom for him. It’s mutual though

Yes, old cat loved me the most.....

New cat loves DH the most . He will sit on my lap but only if DH isn't here.

Interestingly, I chose old cat and DH chose new cat. Perhaps they know?!

I am number one cat favourite in this house for both cats (and recently departed cat 3 too) I have a lap and shoulder available at most times and feed, water and clean the litter. I also share my bath with cat one when she wants to be Bathcat

Our cat prefers me. She hated my husband for years. We moved house. From the day we moved she decided she liked him. She now sits on him whenever I am not there. He feeds her but she still prefers me. She is utterly unafraid if he uses power tools near her but is scared stiff of anyone else doing so.

I don't think it's a favourite human as much as a favourite lap.

Our dcat likes DH's lap in the evening (because there's usually a laptop on mine on MN ); he likes Ds2's bedroom/ bed in the day time because ds2 spends time in bed working in his room and he always visits me in bed in the morning because dh gets up before me and lets him in the bedroom.

We all secretly believe we are his favourite.

Ddog doesn't let the cat come near me. He chases him away if he tries to come over to me and inserts himself between us if I try to pet him.

Ddog is always beside me but everyone thinks he loves them the best.
