Any way to stop excessive biscuit making?

Cheddar likes to sleep on my bed at night. and if I move she likes to make biscuits on my face and neck. ( trying to squash my trachea is a particular favourite). I dot mind it a bit but it's excessive and quite uncomfortable. If I move her she still comes back. Shutting her downstairs isn't a
Practical option because of the house layout.
Any suggestions? I need some sleep!

I don't have the heart to lock my other cat downstairs. She likes to sleep under the bed. And I love her coming for cuddles. She no trouble!

What does make biscuits mean?

Where they knead you with their paws. It's something they do as kittens to get milk from their mothers. It usually means they are happy.
