Pregnant queen- am I doing enough?

Hello all- will try and keep it brief!

We recently bought a cat from some (in hindsight) dodgy people online. I’m so glad we managed to get her out of there, because it turns out she’s pregnant. She also had fleas which I have managed to treat (thank god!)

I have made her a couple of nests, but her favourite is in a cupboard which is fine as it’s easily accessed. She dragged my jumper in there so if she chooses to birth there I’m happy to sacrifice it!

Anyway, I’m just wondering. Am I doing enough? We have had feliway going since she got here, I stroke her as much as she feels comfortable, I keep the kids away from her apart from maybe 5 minutes a day so they can have a quick quiet stroke. She sleeps mostly (she’s getting big now so I think birth is imminent).

Is there anything else I can do to make her comfortable? I’m trying not to pester her, and as we are still fairly new to her I’m just concerned of being too fussy too early.

Well on my 'cv' I have qualified as a new nipple namer!! A lovely mner had nipple surgery a few weeks go and I named one of them Margo!! So I feel I should suggest that!! A true mn trooper name!!

Oooh, lovely! Glad to hear mum got the chance to stretch her legs (leaving her furry snuggle bundle for you to photograph!)

Yeah she’s been very active today, had a bowel movement (sorry tmi), come to me for a scratch and is getting up to have her food rather than me bring it to her in the nest. She is really doing so brilliantly I’m so pleased. More pics to come!

Valenta I don’t know, mum is deffo producing colostrum and they’re on her pretty much most of the day; a couple of them a smaller but about three of them are fairly plump- I’m starting to be able to tell them apart already 🤣

Have you had any more name ideas yet?

The one at the 'top' definitely looks bigger and they all look nice and rounded. They've all got lovely shiny coats - mum must be working overtime keeping them clean .

She does a lot of licking them! She really is so great, I’m so impressed 💚

When can you start to tell if they are long or short haired?

I have no idea! She’s mixed, we don’t know what exactly; 3 of the cats are just like her in terms of markings and the other 3 are all black( im guessing this is from dads side) so I guess we will have to wait and see!

Mum looks like she's doing really well with them all. She's lucky you took her in.
