We are picking up our new family member next Saturday and are trying to come up with a name. She’s a girl, black all over. I quite want to call her Hermione or Molly but DH is making faces. He has no useful suggestions of his own other than ‘Isabel’, which is what DS2 was going to be called if he was a girl Hmm.

DS1 (3) wants to call her Edith (after the cat in Hey Duggee) but stipulated we’d need to paint her yellow first, or possibly Purple or Space-cat.

So yes, any other suggestions would be GREAT. (Plus isn’t she gorgeous?! I’m so excited!!! Grin)

She is beautiful! I think she'd suit Suki.

There's an Electra, a Jemima and a Sillabub (means 'silly devil' if she's a bit mischievous!) in the musical Cats, inspired by T S Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
I do like Suki though! And, it's close to Spook.

I have an all black cat called Bella but I see that is out.
For some reason I thought 'Smartie' Hmm
I think she also looks like Edith or Alice . Or Dora.

I have a Spooks (who is all white but everyone assumes is black) so clearly I think Spook is a great name! Grin She's actually on my lap atm after deciding she's finished hiding from the Tesco man (who was lovely and left ages ago).

I tend to name cats by waiting until I get them and chucking a bunch of names at them to see what they respond to, so although I don't have a name suggestion per se (apart from to back Spook) my kind of suggestion is this.
