Thinking ooo, he likes enclosed spaces, he hasn't got a bed that's 'his', he'll love that.
As you can see, he does not.

Before I give up entirely and take it back, any ideas on how I can get him to use it? Tried a piece of my clothing, his toys, gently putting him in.

If not il take it back tomorrow 😁 It's been a week

She’ll probably be busy after the show. But was still pretty quick with orders I placed afterwards. My pair have got two beds and I’ve got a cushion. And my parents Cat has tow big cushions. The round ones are so squishy. And all the covers are washable. I will never buy a shop bought bed again!

There’s a One-cat protest going on next door. He’s sitting very stiffly in his hammock. (And the basement door is open and all.) Wink

Try it in a different location. We have a purple one of those. Cat ignored it for weeks. I moved it so I could get to where it was and she got in it where I’d moved it too and has loved it ever since.

Maybe she thought you were moving it prior to disposal? Wink

wtffgs · 12/10/2017 22:58

Squirt it with Feliway spray?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 23:01

Have you tried pouring a glass of water into it when he's looking? From a great hight?

Oh yes, I've tried EVERYTHING. First day he loved it, then after that decided he preferred us turning on the tapHmm

cozietoesie · 12/10/2017 23:07

Which you did for him? Grin

strawberrypenguin · 12/10/2017 23:09

Probably cozie Grinshe does still come and sleep on my feet in the night too!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 12/10/2017 23:17

DragonNoodleCake · 12/10/2017 23:19

Mine goes through phases. She has a tent which she used as a kitten, then only went in a handful of times over the next five years.

When the Christmas decorations went down in January I moved it on top of one of our cupboards. DP said he had been thinking about throwing it away, and she'd never go in it up where I'd put it. Lo and behold, it became her favourite snoozing spot for the next few months.

Her current routine is to fall asleep in 'her' box, and then curl up on the sofa when I go to bed. Woe betide if I'm still on her sofa when she wants up! So it's probably been a wee while since she's been in her tent, but I know she will, eventually.

We'll just not mention the cat tree!

Newboy hasn’t been in his ‘top bed’ since I took the photographs. (And found him there.)

Toddlerteaplease · 13/10/2017 21:39

Not a great picture but Snorg has sat in the tipi twice tonight!

Cozie, it won’t be fatal. They will both use it from now on. Once adopted all their beds are used. They are very un Cat like.

cozietoesie · 13/10/2017 23:05

Ah.

To be fair, I was judging by Newboy’s attitude. Wink

Cat's are just bloody fickle.. My Mum came to visit before Christmas (on her way to the US) and bought a big bed from our local shop...of course Ernie comandeered it and we had to go out and buy another one before my Mum returned to see us on her way home.

But she got 'the call' fromthe cattery and had to race back home knowing her cat was dying.

She left the bed here and of course Ernie now turns his nose up at it...so we have two identical beds..
