Each by their own admision there was a 'technical fault' with the machinery and one HCP said to another "shall we put a new needle in?". So they were going at it for ages, and I had to have three lots of aneasthectic dont think they were keen to give me the third. So I think there was a lot more trauma than usual.

The 'metal' is the titanium marker they put in that is supposed to not cause any problems. I'm sure it doesn't agree with me but cant find any evidence they cause problems and got a non-comittal answer form my GP

EachandEveryone · 03/08/2017 19:24

Would an ultra sound show anything? Can u walk into the breast clinic and show the nurse?

cozietoesie · 03/08/2017 19:29

Old

Do you have any history of allergies? (Some people are allergic to titanium although it's supposed to be 'biocompatible'.

cozietoesie · 03/08/2017 19:32

PS - it might be a good idea to start a thread on this on one of the health boards. I don't think you're alone in this matter.

Oldraver · 03/08/2017 22:10

Cozie...yes lots of minor allergies, including to lots of jewelry. GP wants to see me in a few weeks when the infection has gone, as I was a little lumpy and wants to make sure it has gone..I cant feel anything now but still a bit sore. Original biopsy was for calcifications (all ok).

I've had Mastitas a few times and managed to get rid of it without anti-b's, so dont think there will be any harm in going the natural way (though no b/f baby to help out Wink

cozietoesie · 03/08/2017 22:19

Ah. Be sure to tell the doctor about the allergies. You should likely have been tested re the titanium before implanting.

Also - it may sound gruesome but don't wear a bra for the time being. (Allows better drainage etc.)

Oldraver · 04/08/2017 01:29

I rarely wear a bra these days...unless I'm going out and the public needs protecting Grin

Ollivander84 · 04/08/2017 01:35

I had a joyful time when a tiny breast lump I had for ages decided to get infected and turn into mastitis. The pain was ridiculous and it took two courses of antibiotics to shift the thing Flowers

Old cat is asleep in the sun completely ignoring our neighbours' cat shouting at him. (I did gently prod him after this to make sure he was still alive Grin)

I knew that Seniorboy was really getting on when I said to the family 'I'm just nipping upstairs to check he's still alive' - and no-one laughed. Sad

RubbishMantra · 04/08/2017 13:23

Little M's rediscovering the joys of catnip - I bought them a catnip infused maze thingy as a "Well Done Brave Boys" present after their jabs. He makes himself into the shape of a banana when he's happy.

Daphne is pissed off at the new flooring in the hallway. She's been locked in the bedroom with me all day and it stinks of sheba. It took me ages to get her in so I could go to work.

TheCatOfAthenry · 04/08/2017 18:39

Biscuit is being a little poser.

EachandEveryone · 04/08/2017 19:02

Oh she's divine what a lovely shiney coat

Jamon · 04/08/2017 21:04

Ollie is being adorable

Robin brought us his first ever mouse yesterday. He followed it up with his second this morning. Not caught a thing in five years now two bloody mice. He was so tired afterwards I had to carry him to his bowl for breakfast 🙄

caoraich · 04/08/2017 23:32

Poor Maisie, I can only recommend amputation so as to appease her.

Cookie is being particularly licky with us at the moment. Think she's missing Biscuit's babyhood.

Kibobear · 05/08/2017 03:17

Hermione is sleeping in the sun. I'm using this as an excuse to do nothing Grin
