To write a fatty and smith instruction Manual for cattery

The terrible twosome are going to a cattery while I'm away. It's so posh I quite fancy booking myself in. They usually have a cat sitter but due to their recent dramas I'm to nervous to leave them unsupervised. Would it be really OTT to write a list of instructions for the cattery. Particularly so they can tell them apart. The lady I spoke to was confident she would be able to by the end of the week. Ha ha ha or am I just being a helicopter cat mummy?

Are you near silverhills? I'm £20 in a cab but it's worth it. I've just picked them up they both had their noses pressed against the windows as soon as they heard my voice they've had a fab time. They are just finishing their new chairs which will be £23 a night for both of them. They are booked in for September I really love them there and they've told me to email them to let them know how they are doing. My baby is only 16 weeks and she's grown so much! The new chalets don't have a telly just a radio I said for £5 less a night I don't mind!!! The little one has discovered windows I think they. It's think they are still in their chalets!

The lonecats go with instructions these are you will not see the tail less wonder she will be too frightened. Do not under any circumstances touch the posh arrogant boy I do not want to be the vet whose cat maimed the kennel staff.

Vinorosso74 · 28/06/2017 17:18

It's a bit of a trek for us but if we were heading north to my folks it's a short diversion.
Our vet's cattery is less than a mile away and as I say with all her medical history it's probably best she stays there. I know her vet will pop in to see her too and all the staff know her.

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2017 18:20

Ouch? The blinking cat sitter charged me £20 and did nothing but put food down!

The cheapest for a double is £21 otherwise it's £10 I personally like the ones outside they are the cheap ones

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2017 18:44

Touching posh arrogant boy could be a new adrenalin sport Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 28/06/2017 21:19

I'm paying £18 a day for the pair if them. My cat sister charged £11.50 for a visit as she travels.

It was £180 for a week and next time it will be £160 as they won't be having a telly! I'm on reserve for the outdoor basic one which is £125 it's my 50th so needs must!!! I'll ask my neighbour to see to them in between next week my dad starts chemo so I'll have to leave at 8 am and be back at 2230 do you think they will be ok on their own?

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2017 21:22

My cat sitter was double that as she came twice a day so it was £22. £18 is a good price isn't it? Will they be outside? It's lovely when they come home and run around like maniacs as if it's Christmas.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 08:22

I've no idea if mine are in a penthouse or a chalet. I don't think they'll care. I hope they will have a view of the horses and the chickens though.

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 08:35

They won't care at all mine had no choice that's all they had left infact I should've asked if they had the grooming and the fish Friday that comes with it. You assume so how would you know really. Yes the views will be great mine have been staring out of the kitchen window a lot since they got back! It's exciting for them I think dropping them off will be the worse part and it drags on as you have all the paperwork to fill in. Take your instructions as each chalet has a notice board where the pin any specifications up. Try to make bullet points!

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 09:37

Yes and a good picture of both of their eyes as that's the only way to tell them apart!

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 10:40

I think you will need to show me a picture

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 13:15

I tried to post some but it wouldn't let me. See if you can tell the difference!

I think it's Fatty on the left and Snorg on the right (as we're looking at the screen).

Or the other way round.

Or it's a trick question Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 15:52

Its the other way around. I have no idea why my sister nicknamed the smaller thinner one fatty! I did think about two pics of the same cat on!

OP posts:
EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 16:10

Are they sisters?

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 16:46

Yes, they are. Apparently there was a third sister called ebony. Presumably she was also black.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 16:49

When I first got them I could tell them apart by their behaviour (in the dark) now Snorg has gained in confidence and they both behave very similarly its almost impossible.

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 29/06/2017 17:05

Oh well. I was almost right Grin! Do they like being picked up and cuddled Toddler? And being cradled like babies? I'd find it really hard not to do that all the time Smile.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 17:33

Not really. They will tolerate being picked up for about 30 seconds. It's getting longer though. I only get proper cuddles at the vet. Fatty will sit on my knee on a towel or cushion. And on my head at night. Snorg will snuggle next to me. But never on me.

OP posts:
Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 17:35

When Snog was very ill I had some lovely cuddles with her and even got 'the paw'. I treasured them because we didn't think she'd survive.

HemanOrSheRa · 29/06/2017 18:24

Aw. That bundle of floof on your head at night! They are just gorgeous Toddler Smile.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/06/2017 19:33

It is quite nice. I must admit. And they both purr really loudly

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 22:44

How old are they?
