Have you ruined your cat's life?

I've realised I've ruined grumpy cat's life Sad She was my no.1 (PFT) and I've brought her nothing but misery. My crimes include:

Getting married (she disappeared for a month in protest)
Moving house (sunk into a depression and didn't get out of bed for a month)
Adopting another cat (hated him for eight years until he died)
Making her go outside (sometimes in THE RAIN)
Rescuing a little kitten (complete nervous breakdown followed by temporary eating disorder)

I apologise to her every day for the torment I have put her through; I sometimes think she may have forgiven me as she sleeps on my head every night and purrs/growls when I have the audacity to move Grin

I take birds off my cat.
She's now decided to remove their tail feathers before brininging them to me, so when I release them they can't fly and she gets them anyway.
Wee brute.

LanaorAna1 · 18/04/2017 22:28

I try to share the bed. Evil old trout that I am.

ThreeFish · 18/04/2017 22:29

Also, she bit me hard when I moved her to get into my side of the bed. Tetanus and antibiotics and ligament damaged thumb.

TalkingofMichaelAngel0 · 18/04/2017 22:33

Im another ones with a very angry cat because i cant change the weather.
I go out to work.
Sometimes i come home early, and that annoys her as well.

WorzelsCornyBrows · 18/04/2017 22:35

I had two children, he's never forgiven me.

purplehonesty · 18/04/2017 22:37

We got a puppy.
The cat has actually moved out and now lives next door. She won't even speak to me if I see her passing our house to get to the neighbours!! She has been there 2 weeks and has no intentions of coming back. Neighbours don't seem to mind. I was quite sad to begin with but figure if she is happier in their quiet wee house then so be it.

Thankfully the kitten likes pup and she has stayed.

I love these cat threads. Having a crappy day today and as a dog owner these mad cat stories amuse me no end. Anyone read that Facebook meme cat diary vs dog diary? I love it. I had cats as a little girl but there us no way I could get one now with the over friendly mahoosive dog.

ElizaDontlittle · 19/04/2017 01:10

I removed her first prey on Friday even though she brought it to be alive and tweeting!
I go Out To Work instead of staying in and snuggling her in bed all day.
I don't provide enough mayonnaise... she loves it for some reason Hmm
I am thinking of getting Another Cat which I am not sure she's going to enjoy.
I invite friends with small humans round. She does not like small humans At All.
I don't allow access to the king sized cat bed enough of the time.

I'm really quite lucky she speaks to me at all!

AyeAyeFishyPie · 19/04/2017 07:02

I don't let her sleep on my bed anymore.
I don't give her unlimited food.
She actually shouts at me. I have told her she can go back to the streets which is where she was plucked from...

sashh · 19/04/2017 13:28

I'm evil.

My cat likes to sit with her nose out of the window and her bum inside. I only allow her to have the window open from Now until November.

She cries at me pathetically if I don't open the window when it's snowing.

Fruitcocktail6 · 19/04/2017 13:38

I don't feed them constantly.

They're not allowed on the kitchen counter.

I have to get up and go for a wee/get a drink etc while she's on my lap.

I close the bedroom door at night, and now have to close the living room door too so I can't hear the desperate scratching to get in.

I don't brush in the right spots.

Fruitcocktail6 · 19/04/2017 13:39

Shock I forgot the most evil one! Having a lie in at weekends!

whifflesqueak · 19/04/2017 13:41

I laughed at my siamese so he pissed on the curtains.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/04/2017 13:45

*I close the bedroom door at night, and now have to close the living room door too so I can't hear the desperate scratching to get in.

Errr and why exactly ????

whifflesqueak · 19/04/2017 13:47

oh and I shut him in the kitchen at night because it's easier to clean rodent entrails off a tile floor.

Fruitcocktail6 · 19/04/2017 13:57

Errr and why exactly ??

They sleep in the living room/kitchen area, if not, they'll wake me up at 5am climbing all over the bed and meowing.

On the odd occasion they do sleep in the bed it takes up all my foot space and is uncomfortable.

Fruitcocktail6 · 19/04/2017 13:58

Or did you mean the brushing?

Because one only likes her head brushed but then she looks all scruffy everywhere else.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2017 14:01

Lock him in the utility overnight.
Pick him up. He hates that. Unless its convenient for him, then it's fine.
Keep him in overnight.

It's a brutal regime here.

QueenOlivine · 19/04/2017 14:10

Paying attention to my 2 DC is what really pisses my cat off. As soon as they are getting a hug / sitting on me she comes along and gives me her resentful, deeply hurt look. Then miaows as if she's being tortured until I turf DC off and let her on me.

After deigning to let me stroke and fuss her for a few minutes she then invariably gets fed up of it and bites me Hmm

EarlGreyT · 19/04/2017 15:09

I've sinned by doing the following:
Keeping them in when it's dark.
Not immediately switching the sun on when she's waiting in her sunbathing spot.
Putting wet stuff on their necks (AKA stronghold)
Daring to brush them, especially their tails. They're semi long haired so they're going to have to continue putting up with this.
Going on holiday-leading to slinking outside for a sulk as soon as I return until she's decided I'm forgiven for going away
Not leaving the back door open in January when it's raining so that they can see the outside without getting wet

sashh · 19/04/2017 17:45

My old cat Charlie was not allowed out to play with fireworks, he thought that most unfair.

NotTheQueen · 19/04/2017 21:15

Boy kitten got a nudge from me this morning as he was investi-cating my bedside table at 10 to 3. At quarter past 3 there was an almighty roar from DH... boy kitten was investi-cating DHs bedside table and got a nudge but he ignored DH. Boy kitten was picked up and placed on the floor (and I mean picked up, not anything stronger)... boy kitten got back up, climbed on the bed and sprayed DH. I swear when I turned on the lights, boy kitten was grinning

And he's neutered!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2017 21:28

Yeah it doesn't stop them spraying......

Ours ran in one morning after Dh had told him off the night before, sprayed his pillow and legged it.

Their getting militant. My childhood Tom wouldn't have dreamed of spraying.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2017 21:36

*They're

LanaorAna1 · 20/04/2017 00:34

Fluffy you've just made me laff so hard I too have wet the bed.
