So excited, our first foster cat will arrive on Friday. He's " a beautiful big boy" who was taken in off the streets on bonfire night by the CPL. He's been in a pen since then but would be better in a family environment. I can't wait. Just 4 sleeps.

He is lovely, I can't see him having any trouble finding a forever home when the time comes. He is still a bit nervous at times but less and less. Last night he found a catnip mouse somewhere that has been around for years being ignored by a succession of cats and gave it a good mauling. We will have to get him moving a bit, he is a little portly. Time to get the feather on a stick out I think.

He's rather enjoying home life it seems. Smile

Kudos to you, I could never foster, I'd want to keep them. Especially that little boy, he's gorgeous, I'd want to keep him, but I love b&ws, uglier the better .

Now showing his big fluffy feet! He's spending more time on the sofa than behind it now and has found his meow.

Do you have to do reports on his character and progress? Smile

I have to write a description of him to go on the CPL website to "sell" him. Basically this will say "he's no bother". He really is the least trouble of any cat we've ever had; he's quiet, lazy, not fussy about food and clean, he even uses the scratching post. He's also pretty. Just don't touch his feet, that does not amuse him, as dh found out last night!

Maybe he had a bad experience with that. Seniorboy doesn't mind his feet being touched but he really doesn't like his mouth being investigated. (I suspect he had a sore mouth for a pretty long time.)

He is adorable. Are you sure he doesn't want to live with you forever?

No, he will move on, we're all clear about that. He is lovely but he's not "the one", that was the little boy we lost earlier in the year.

You're starting to sound very 'partial', chemenger. Dangerous territory. Grin

How's the week been? He looks so happy and purry.

He's getting bolder all the time, he has learned about Dreamies and today he had a Webbex treat stick which went down in about two bites, I'm not sure he actually tasted it. He's gone up on the CP webpage, so hopefully he should find a home soon. Vet on Friday to get neutered, then he will be ready to go.

I'm guessing you'll have him for Xmas, though? Smile

Oh yes, you better buy a much larger turkey esp as he is convalescing as well. All the best for the op, he is such a clever, dear cat.

Lidl do the Dreamies Xmas tin and very good chewsticks. Just saying...

We have Aldi chews here, we've renamed them swallows though.

Dh once tried to get ours in with a chew stick, the cat leant in & grabbed the stick then scarpered for hours.

I'm never sure that ASBO has 'total respect' for your DH, though? Grin

Well he's come to terms with him being here on a permenant basis. The selective deafness persists though.

Maybe he's only deaf to that specific range though? Df got told he was deaf to the range female voices fall into.

Just dropped him at the vet. Unfortunately we screwed up putting him in his box and really stressed him out. We were aiming for a surprise smooth grab and drop but fluffed it and ended up with a chase round the room. He has a surprising turn of speed and big claws. We're going to have to work on handling him more. I felt very sorry for him, he looked very sad.

Nah. Stop feeling sorry for him. He should have co-operated so now he's trying it on to get the upper hand back. Wink

He's back, he's not happy and he has tested positive for FIV ("slightly" positive, which is a bit confusing. I'll have to find out what this means for him.

That's quite common though isn't it?. Others will know but he will come round. You feed him after all.
