Who will win?

After smugly stating a few months ago that Toots will eat what she's given, the furry little twat has suddenly developed standards.

She has eaten one meal, and then refused all else

So far she's had:-

Natures menu
Natures menu raw
Hi life
Lily's kitchen
Royal canin (wet)
Gourmet gold
Gourmet mon petit

And I went out and got Sheba yesterday to try..

I don't have the biggest budget. I can't afford to spend £1 per tin of food as she eats twice a day!

I spent £8 on Sheba yesterday to last a week. She ate her breakfast, refused her tea and refused her breakfast today

So I've binned it and will let her go hungry until tea time.

I am determind to win.

Let the battle commence

Oh...they only need 1 tin a day of that. Could split it in half.

Hmmmm

Good luck, OP. But I think this applies here.

If puss is on royal canine dried just feed that and give up on wet food. Some of them will never eat it!

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 16:40

If only it was that easy niggle

She expects the wet twice a day.

And she's no hunter Grin she's crap. The most she's caught is a sweet wrapper

If she was a human she would be locked up.

She's definitely a sociopath..

cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 16:47

She's 9 months old. Do you want another 20 years of fusspotting?

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 16:50

No..no I don't.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 16:52
Grin
cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 16:55

I assume she's neutered by the way? Smile

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 17:00

Actually she isn't yet

It's on our list of things to do. She very rarely goes out and she hasn't actually had a season yet Confused

Mine mostly turn down the expensive stuff. One likes Sainsbury's sachets and one whiskas dried food.

My cats have me so well trained I automatically refuse to buy Felix, as 'they don't like it'.

Actually, dcwt and her two kittens do like it, but my cat who died last year and her brother who died three years ago didn't like it, and they trained me well Grin.

Dcat and dlittlecats are very unfussy about food due to the competition factor, but they seem to prefer Aldi dog food to almost anything else I've ever given them. Ddog is not impressed by their preference, as they keep nicking it out of her bowl.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/11/2016 17:10

Cats ovulate after mating, they don't need a season to get pg. They just need to get out.

Be glad she's not been in season, you don't ever forget that racket.

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 17:12

No I know Arf

Kittens are NOT on the to do list

She doesn't really go out anyway but she will be neutered ASAP.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 17:14

Probably a good idea to book her in quickly then. You have no idea whether she already has hormones starting and you don't need to be spending Christmas wandering the streets because she wanted to go outside and play. You also can't be entirely sure that her general attitude isn't as a result of feeling generally antsy.

One for dealing with sooner rather than later, as Arf said. Smile

cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 17:15

X post.

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 17:15

Yep Smile

Is it unusual that she hasn't had a season yet?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 04/11/2016 17:22

Depends on the cat. Smile And she could start yelling in ten minutes time, remember!

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 17:23

Fair enough.

Thank tou

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/11/2016 17:28

Sounds like she needs doing, she might settle down and eat anything then. It's not just about not having kittens, they're healthier for all sorts of other reasons once they're done.

Sheeba?
Applaws dry? - you can soften with warm water to make a nice gravy.
Lick-e-Lix on top of food as a tempter?
