Heard cat shouting so tramped outside in pjs to find it wasn't Ollie but sounded identical! Found black cat and Ollie sat together with black cat shouting. Ollie could get away but didn't
They moved and I got this video, cat near me is not mine Hmm despite the near identical noise
Aggression?
I suspect Ollie has residual "stuff" as neutered v late. But despite the noise they were quite happily sat together Confused and it's identical to Ollie's calling noise

video has sound on

Ollie is home and skulking under the sofa. Probably plotting revenge because his mum embarrassingly came to fetch him in her pjs

....Next is vertical takeoff....Grin

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 07:49

How old are they, stare?

stareatthetvscreen · 09/06/2016 09:02

he's 10

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 09:06

If he's really sitting stock still for an hour and just staring, it's odd behaviour. Especially for a Siamese.

Has he been vetted recently/ had his blood pressure checked etc?

stareatthetvscreen · 09/06/2016 09:09

he's standing

yy to the odd behaviour - sometimes it is hard to tell with them though :)

maybe we'll video it and show the vet

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 09:10

PS - how does he react to you if you go up to him and stroke him/talk to him while he's sitting staring?

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 09:11

standing staring

stareatthetvscreen · 09/06/2016 09:19

he's ok but if you move him away he goes straight back there

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 09:34

The only time I've ever had a cat standing/sitting for an extended time was when they were on the hunt - eg Twoago once spent about three hours sitting in front of a locked old fitted cupboard in a holiday cottage. (Mice.) He wasn't truly still, though, just 'focussed'.

You said it was on a table though? Is there anything near that that could be taking his attention?

stareatthetvscreen · 09/06/2016 09:43

i'll have a look around

there are fish in a tank

thanks :)

cozietoesie · 09/06/2016 10:09

'twould do no harm to have him checked over at the vet though - if he hasn't already been, recently. If he's had a little neurological 'incident' and there's nothing up with him otherwise, it's really just business as usual I reckon.

hollinhurst84 · 09/06/2016 23:44

Tonight's random behaviour. Sat outside the patio doors for the last two hours. Happy as Larry chirping away to himself. If I go out he chatters and purrs but won't come in Confused
All I can hear is chirp chirp purr Grin

If he's happy and not getting himself into trouble, I'd leave him to it - unless you have a curfew and need to enforce rules. There are few enough good evenings in this country for him to hang out and enjoy himself sniffing the sniff. Smile

hollinhurst84 · 10/06/2016 17:51

He came in eventually. After more sitting outside and chirruping happily ConfusedConfused
Every time I went out he purred at me and then sat there a bit more!

Ah we have noisy cat back again

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 11/06/2016 23:58

That looks like a stand-off. Have you had noises out there?

hollinhurst84 · 12/06/2016 00:14

Noises?! I nearly put earplugs in Grin
Lots and lots of shouting. Black cat sloped off, Ollie is recovering with "exhaustion"

Here you go. Cat on the right is intruder

cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 07:53

Best keep a watchful eye on him for war wounds. That's going to end in fisticuffs.

hollinhurst84 · 12/06/2016 12:13

Intruder wandered off eventually and Ollie came back in. I kept an eye on them but he's going to keep meeting that cat so I figured best he does it while I'm there

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 12:34

Sounds as if 'the intruder' backed off?

Remind me - when did Ollie have his steroid injection? Wink

hollinhurst84 · 12/06/2016 12:44

Kind of slunk off v quietly Grin ha yes last week. He is now desperate to go out the back door which leads to where intruder cat is Hmm

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 12/06/2016 12:56

There are umpty different kinds of steroids of course - I was just thinking that if he'd had the shot, he'd likely be feeling good about himself. Wink

He'll need to satisfy himself that 'The Intruder' isn't actually lurking. (Whether or not he's there.)

hollinhurst84 · 12/06/2016 12:59

I don't actually know who it belongs to or indeed if it does belong to anyone. Will have to keep an eye and check. I guess I can't keep them apart so I'll have to watch and cross fingers. He's doing a "got rid of him hooman" face
