She may or may not be being fed by someone else...

She Normally hangs around the garden, but today she was desperate to get out and hasn't been seen since...

She may also have been run over... Or eaten... Or doesn't want to live with us anymore...

Or be having the time of her life and perfectly happy Blush

I really feel for you op. I was in the same situation with my last girl, she never went far or for long and one day she went out and didn't come back within a few hours. I'm not woo but I just knew she wasn't coming home. We found her the next morning not sure if she had been hit by a car.

Sorry I don't mean to make you feel worse, I agree with the others no news is good news.

As lovely as cats are I find being a cat owner so stressful, at least with my dogs I know where they are at all times.

I would definitely put a pic on Facebook I've seen lots of pets reunited this way.

Lurkedforever1 · 27/02/2016 22:53

Fingers crossed here too op.

Floralnomad · 28/02/2016 10:37

Any news today ?

TimeIhadaNameChange · 28/02/2016 13:46

Has the naughty wee monkey turned up yet?

marmaladegranny · 28/02/2016 14:20

Don't give up hope OP. When my boy went missing he was found in a garage - he hadn't been found initially as my next door but three neighbours had sent the children to the garage to look. My boy isn't keen on noisy children and had hidden in the garage rafters. It was several days later that I went out calling after midnight and he answered my call - then I had the difficult job of persuading the owners of the garage that he was there and, please could I go in to get him - they were not cat people and thought I was mad that I expected them to let me into their garage!

She's back!! Grin Grin

I really can't believe it. Sorry for not answering earlier, it's been a really strange day.

I was walking the streets following a potential sighting, when my friend phoned to say that their friend (are you following?) had seen a cat skulking around sheds next to their house. Not far from our house, but in an I logical direction (past the houses behind us, over a road to those houses and in the gardens backing on to them, if that makes sense). I went back there and it definitely was her. I'm ashamed to say that with help, I climbed over the back fence into the garden as the house owners were out Blush.

She was in a really bad way, scratches and bites over her face and neck, so I phoned the emergency vets (luckily the surgery is only 5 or so miles away).

She's had a lot of antibiotics and painkillers. The vet discussed keeping her in as one eye is so bad, but I really wanted her home, so I've agreed to take her back in the morning for a check up and I'll keep doing that as long as needed.

I'm just so happy. I really thought I had lost her. She wasn't locked in (the shed door was not closed properly as it was coming off its hinges), so she must have been hiding in there overnight.

You've all been so supportive and understanding. Thank you.

For anyone else who might read this. Please don't give up. Keep searching.

I'm so glad she is home. Guessing she won't be out for a while!
Get well soon Robot cat.

Mincepies76 · 28/02/2016 19:31

Brilliant SmileSmileSmile

RobotMenu · 28/02/2016 19:32

No! Strict house rest! Hopefully the eye should be save able, but if not we'll go from there. I don't care - at least she's alive!

I'm so pleased for you. What does the vet think caused the injuries?.

She probably won't want to go out again after all that.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 28/02/2016 19:37
Grin

Am so, so pleased for you! Has she been telling you all about her adventures?

Vinorosso74 · 28/02/2016 19:39

I just came on here to see if she'd returned. So glad she's home but sorry she was in such a bad way. Poor girl, if only they could talk.
Hope she recovers well. Sounds like she has a good human to help her.

Daftaboutthecat · 28/02/2016 19:55

Iv kept checking back to see if your wee cat had returned. So happy for you and hope robotcat makes a speedy recovery

marmaladegranny · 28/02/2016 20:00

So pleased to hear she is back!
Hugs for you and lots of Dreamies for Robotcat

Floralnomad · 28/02/2016 20:11

What great news , hope she makes a speedy recovery .

RobotMenu · 28/02/2016 20:20

Thank you all! I like the name Robotcat (better than my can't-think-of-a-new-username name!) - Grin maybe if she ends up with a bionic eye.

The vet thought a cat fight most probably- he says they scratch at the face and she's been unlucky that it must have got her directly. At least she's on painkillers now.

Oh I'm so pleased. I've been checking for updates! Hopefully her wounds will heal soon.

maybeIwillmaybeIwont · 28/02/2016 21:01

Excellent news, welcome back Robotcat!

Costacoffeeplease · 28/02/2016 21:06

Great you found her - if it does come to the worst and the eye has to be removed, then I'm sure she will be fine. We found a pair of young stray kittens years ago, one had a badly infected eye and it had to be removed, he was perfectly fine and we had him for years - he was also an outdoor cat who absolutely hated being indoors and he managed absolutely fine

Hope it doesn't come to that, but if it does, don't worry too much

dublingirl48653 · 28/02/2016 21:08

ah so so happy to hear this

Waxlyrically · 28/02/2016 21:28
