How do I stop it?!
He wants 24/7 attention basically and I can't supply it!
Like now I'm sat watching tv (with wet nails) and he's sat opposite me howling. Shutting him out the room makes him cry more
He has food down (but won't eat until cuddled but he's eaten at lunch), litter tray clean....

Oh great, I'm the only one whose cat was swayed by a bit of polyester on a metal frame.

Mmm, that's exactly the noise Archcat makes to signal frustration bordering on distress. Generally it's when we've locked his flap at night and he's desperate to get out for a hunt or a crap (yes he has a clean indoor tray, but hates it). He'll nag us with the wail for ages before giving up and using the tray after all. It's VERY different from his normal conversational chirrups. Ollie is definitely trying to tell you something? If he used to be an outdoor cat, is he maybe also a bit frustrated, and the harness just isn't enough 'freedom' for him? Tricky when he's FIV.

Mine makes a similar noise - it's her 'I want attention' noise.

Strange as it may seem she responds to a finger on the lips whilst saying her name - it gives a couple of mins peace.

Also she likes routine, so on a morning I make coffee and then feed her - if I walk past her bowl at this time she will start, but as long as I feed her at that time she is OK.

Bit if she is in need of a cuddle, well I shut her out once because she was walking over my keyboard and I was prepping a lesson, she wailed, cried and eventually made her entrance attached to the door handle which she had managed to grab on to and then swing the door open.

Just played the clip with her in hearing distance, this could be fun

Vets tomorrow for fatty. Currently he's battering an empty egg box - I've put treats in the egg bits!

Vet has sent off bloods for full FIV as opposed to snap test
He's put 700g on in 2 months Blush
Mouth fully healed and she said again how amazed she was to find that
Said he looks really good. And we are trying clomicalm as appears behavioural

Yep. He's interesting now. (And she's also taking his case personally, it sounds like.) Both good news. Smile

hollinhurst84 · 18/02/2016 18:43

I think the fact he's quite happy to be prodded makes him be quite liked by vets! She waived a fee for me, and am waiting for generic tablets as the branded are about £40 for two weeks supply

If he's not fiv can he go out again?.

hollinhurst84 · 18/02/2016 18:57

Yep!!!
Currently he's shredding the cotton wool on his leg and spitting it out in disgust. But I can't get near him to take it off. Hmm
