We just have the 2, Johnny & Roxi, both rescue cats. I would love more if they would actually go out & not need to use a litter tray. They do go out into our yard, but no further. No idea why, the CPL home check lady said the other side of our wall is "cat heaven" but they obviously think otherwise
Black girl Roxi came first after our lovely ancient old Maine Coon died. We had gone to CPL looking for a pair, but Roxi wouldn't let DD passed her pen & that was it, she came home with us - 2 weeks in, she hated both DD & I & decided that she was DHs cat - she luffs DH very much though. She has got better with us over the years & I think now that she may have had problems with women in her original home, as she cowered if I tried to stroke her for years
Weirdly she is epileptic- as was our old Maine Coon, she had a clean bill of health when adopted, but she certainly came to the right home as we are very experienced with epileptic cats
We didn't think we could have more as Roxi is listed as not getting on with other cats, but DD raised some money for CPL & was taken on a special behind the scenes tour if a big chattery as a thank you - tiny grey & white Johnny spotted her & wouldn't let her leave. Turned out his birthday is the same as DDs & too.
They said we could try him with Roxi and it was much easier than expected
He was rejected at birth & hand reared & is the soppiest cat ever, but has a lot of dog like traits too
