He peed at the vets and has done one poo so toilet functions are looking good.

cozietoesie · 03/05/2013 19:57

Excellent. That shows his internal organs are in pretty good shape.

TerrysAllGold · 03/05/2013 20:04

I hope so very much that he makes as much of a recovery as is possible. We're thinking of you all here. Flowers

Zepherial · 03/05/2013 20:09

Thank you now having a well deserved Pimms, anyone else?

Sparklingbrook · 03/05/2013 20:13

Be rude not to Zepherial. You have had a bit of a week to say the least. Here's to hopefully speedy recovery.

I'll drink to that. Having a lazy evening here with Seniorboy giving himself a serious wash just down the way.

Sparkling Cat is busy being offended by a squirrel in the garden. Not that offended that she wants to go out though.

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 03/05/2013 20:25

No, there's different levels of offended, she's thinking cheeky bastard more than I must murder it.

Aldi gin is fab. You must try aldi gin.

Sparklingbrook · 03/05/2013 20:26

YY Fluffy she is doing the 'no effort required' offended. Grin

The vet would know what kind of recovery to expect in a week. If he is eating and pooing then that's a good sign, I would have thought.

My friend's cat went missing and they found out she had been hit by a car. Came back from stay at vets with broken front leg and had to stay in a dog cage and not go outside for 4 or 5 weeks. She also wasn't allowed upstairs or to jump up so her broken leg could mend. She was smelly for the whole time, and wanted to get out but wasn't herself. She did recover, but it took longer than a week. No brain damage to her though. (My friend keeps saying she wished they'd knocked some sense into her as she still keep running across the road.)

crazynanna · 03/05/2013 20:44

Been following the thread Zeph with my heart in my mouth..and a few snots and sobs Blush. Do you know..I have this weird, funny feeling he's going to be ok. I don't know why. And every post you update us, he sounds, little by little, that he's progressing.Smile

You are with friends here in the Litter Tray...and we will be with you and your boy every step of the way to his recovery. Sending love. x

ZebraOwl · 03/05/2013 20:53

Oh Zeph...

Your latest updates sound as though he's already making some progress. I hope that you all have a lovely weekend & Mr Mieaw continues to improve & that you are granted many more happy years together. Even if the worst happens & he has to be PTS you have at least had him home again & will be able to say goodbye.

Personally I'd quite like to knock down the person who hit your cat & leave them too it. It is this kind of thing that means it is probably as well I don't drive really...

Wolfiefan · 03/05/2013 21:01

Another one sending healing thoughts and hoping for more improvement over the weekend. Was following the last thread. Glad he's home now and hope he continues to enjoy the sun for many years!

flippinada · 03/05/2013 21:28

Delighted to find this thread and thrilled to hear that Mr Mieaw is showing signs if recovery.

I agree it's a good sign if he's eating and pooing/weeing ok Smile.

Fingers crossed for you!

flippinada · 03/05/2013 21:29

of recovery, I mean to say!Blush

Maud2011 · 03/05/2013 21:42

Zepherial, what a horrible, shocking thing to happen, I'm so sorry to hear it. I am very so relieved though, that your beloved Mr Mieaw is showing signs of recovery and hoping very much that he continues to make progress.

toffeelolly · 03/05/2013 21:59

Jumping, peeing and pooing, great sign's he seem's to have come on so well from 24 hours, great sign and great new's and he may well even inprove some more tomorrow. What a strong little fella you have zeph, greatWink

Maud2011 · 03/05/2013 22:03

Very pleased that he is enjoying his treats, that's great news but I'd be careful about giving him liver. While I gather a little liver is OK as a treat, the high vitamin A content can be damaging and I'm just concerned about whether it might affect Mr Mieaw badly in his current rather fragile condition. I don't know either way, but it might be something to check with your vet. Best wishes from me and my two seniors Smile

cozietoesie · 03/05/2013 22:09

I think Fluffy said she was only giving a bit once a week, Maud. Caution noted though.

Zepherial · 03/05/2013 22:46

Thank you all so much the girls had a lovely evening with him and passed him around for ages. He of course loved it and sat lapping the attention I think our dog was a bit miffed.

Daisy dog is now sleeping next to the crate and I am goin to bed with a slight headache because of the Pimms sun. I feel you all need hugs, flowers and alcohol for following my kitty tales.

cozietoesie · 03/05/2013 22:49

Other way round, Zeph. You've been the one who has had to stay strong.

Sleep well.

Smile
pigsDOfly · 03/05/2013 23:04

You're no doubt in bed now Zepherial, but just wanted to add to the good wishes. Been following on your other thread.

Everything he's doing sounds so positive and such an improvement. That's so good.

Keep on improving Mr Mieaw.

ratbagcatbag · 04/05/2013 03:14
