This morning she was coughing and has also had a sloppy bowel accident outside. She wasn't interested in breakfast even though I didn't come down until after 9 and she wasn't about when DH left at 7. He normally feeds her before he goes. I had to put the plate under her nose to get her to come and ear.

Her back legs are a bit wobbly and I will take her for a jab on Monday to hopefully get some relief. She didn't wee over night so that is postiive but when I was comforting her when she was coughing it really hit me that she is very old and isn't my baby anymore Sad.

She has lasted for DD's birthday but I am not sure she will make her own Sad.

I have just put a towel on the sofa for her to sit on, just in case, but she wasn't impressed and has jumped down on to the floor.

My cat is getting to the end of her life and I am not sure I will ever get over it Blush.

She means the world to me, is the only thing in the world that is 100% mine, and I will miss her so much.

Now that's a puss that knows her position in the household!

(At the top.)

Horsemad · 09/12/2012 20:19

Oh bless? She's lovely, what a cutie Smile

JustFabulous · 09/12/2012 20:21
Grin

My mission this week is to get a better photo as she can look so adorable, especially when she has her big eyes in (as we call it) Grin.

Apologies for the random ? that must've been whilst I was burning my toast!!

JustFabulous · 09/12/2012 20:55

Oh no. FABCat would say sorry but she is washing herself and has just bitten me after I tried to get another photo.

I like FabCat's style Grin Grin

JustFabulous · 09/12/2012 21:20

Don't you go encouraging her!

She gets closer to where DH is sitting the later it gets. I am sure it has nothing to do with he gives her some biscuits to have before bed.

Ha ha! Clever cat Smile

JustFabulous · 15/12/2012 14:26

FABCat just really went for me SadShock. I was trying to move her so I could sit down and she has scratched me on both hands, bit me three times and raised her paw to me twice. While she hurt me I am more concerned that it was causing her pain when I tried to pick her up rather than her just being stroppy paws.

OP posts:
Horsemad · 15/12/2012 14:43

Hmm, she could be in pain, or just be in a bad mood? Hoping it's the latter.

Keep an eye on her and see how she goes? XX

Wolfiefan · 15/12/2012 14:46

But it was HER seat. YABU!
Hoping sincerely that is all it is. Did you surprise her? Could she see/hear you? Is she just cross at Christmas upheaval?
Wishing you both peace this Christmas.

JustFabulous · 15/12/2012 15:10

We have this argument most days. It is my side and she knows it is. Cheeky madam. She was awake, just cross maybe. Only thing we did different today was to move all the furniture out of the lounge so we could shampoo the carpet to get rid of the smell of her wee puddles.

I have phoned the vet this morning and ordered some tablets and v v v expensive biscuits so she better not go and leave me now Sad.

How is she today JustFab?

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 12:45

She seems fine, thank you. She is currently curled up on my bed inthe sunstream. DS1 said she couldn't get up on the bed so he had to help her Sad. She had seemed to have improved enough to get up on her own lately.

cozietoesie · 16/12/2012 12:59

Well just one point, JustFab. I merely question whether she saw DS1 before she started the 'I want up on the bed but can't do it....' bit. Seniorboy can jump quite well if I'm not around or I'm being uncooperative - but if I'm there I get the pitiful ' I can't make it on to your lap without help'.

You all may be being played.

Horsemad · 16/12/2012 13:11

Aw, that's true Cozie I do think these kits can wrap us round their little paws Grin

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 14:14

Like getting blood out of a stone asking DS1 what was occuring with FABCat Hmm. From what I can gather she was stood with her front paws on the bed just standing there so he helped her up. She has had me wrapped around her paws ever since I catnapped her from my ex and will always do so. I am starting to believe she will be with us for Christmas Xmas Grin.

Horsemad · 16/12/2012 14:35

We had a torrid time last Christmas with our old girl, was awful 'cause I had to do a 300+ mile drive the day she was ill, DH stayed with her but it was awful hearing him crying on the phone and being so far away Sad
I drove back that night & could barely see for tears.

She then astounded us both by practically galloping round the vet's room the next day.

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 15:04

but Grin at her galloping.

Buggers, the lot of them!!

Horsemad · 16/12/2012 15:13

Indeed, that day at the vet I was totally prepared to say goodbye and she made us look like liars Grin

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 16:16

FABCat was just sat on the downstairs loo, lid down Confused..
Closely followed by DS2 shouting that she was weeing on his jumper that was waiting to go in the washer Hmm. Fed up. Fed up. Fed up. I just wish I knew why she was peeing where she shouldn't. I am not cross with her. Just worried.

OP posts:
Horsemad · 16/12/2012 16:32

My girl would use a tray but usually started weeing as her front paws hit the litter. She was blind and learnt to use a lidded tray which we changed to as she kept hanging her backside over the edge of the tray!

Towards the end she would just get up and wee but as she was always in the kitchen it was tiled so easily cleaned.

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 16:39

We tried a tray but it was more mess to clean up than just doing a puddle and she wouldn't be able to get in a covered one very easily. No infection so no idea why she is weeing where she shouldn't. DH wet shampooed the carpet yesterday in the lounge but missed the hall where she weed the other day.

OP posts:
Horsemad · 16/12/2012 16:49

Is it something she's started as she's aged?

JustFabulous · 16/12/2012 16:55

She has weed where she shouldn't in the past but usually it was our fault. When we moved here we forgot the litter tray so she had to go somewhere. She has had accidents but lately it has been going on fairly regularly so I am guessing it is an age thing as she doesn't have an infection. And I am guessing once she has weed there she will wee there again.
