Recommend me a dog food

I’m fed up with raw - defrosting, mucky dishes and freezer space etc especially heading into summer

Looking for a decent kibble that produces nice smallish 💩s.

Can spend up to £50 a 15kg or thereabouts

Any recommendations please 😁

Akela for us both kibble and wet meat. Never had any issues

Mine is on tails - she was on eukanuba when we got her as a rescue. But she was sick quite a bit. Then tried barking heads which she loved but triggered allergies & pancreatitis which vet suspected why she was unwell on eukanuba also. After Hills which she loathed we moved to tails and have had no issues with since.

i know you have started on Millie’s but thought this useful as well for others.

Frankly being a vet doesn’t mean someone knows about nutrition. Which is why they try to
flog you Hills.

And recommending Royal Canin just further casts doubt on whoever wrote that article because it’s pretty crap. And dogs don’t need breed specific food (with rare exceptions) because they’re all dogs. Breed specific food is another ploy to get more money out of you.

Wolf of the wilderness is grain free and our dogs do well on it. Also recommend forthglade. They do like lily's kitchen wet food and kibble - it's pricey though 🐺

Well tbh hills calmed her pancreatitis down which both eukanuba and then barking heads exasperated. She can’t have wet food as that sparks it off again.

my dog is 11 and fit as a butchers dog!

very fit and well on tesco/sainsbury's complete but after teeth removal i have added in tinned butchers for one of her two meals.

Look at zooplus online as long as the meat content is a good high percentage
They have plenty of options

JWB for a sensitive dog and all good here 👍🏻

Are you phasing it as per their guide?

Give it 2 weeks before making any more changes and speak to them as they have different protein ratios
