@Tilllly She is utterly scrumptious! I have had these wonderful dogs in my life for forty years. They are simply the best. Daisy is a fabulous name. I love all dogs but there is something very special about GRs.

We went Daisy shopping today

DH had to have a lie down 🤣

😁I think I would be living on a Caribbean Island now if I had saved all the money I had spent on the dogs over the years. I have to warn you it only gets worse😁.

Even though I am still nowhere close to getting a dog (husband still resists...we are working on him with my son 🙃)

We've introduced before
Usually cat hides for a couple of days, then gives dog a smack, then all is well 🤣

I love a golden retriever. If I was to get a puppy it would be a golden. But I decided to get a partially trained lab (for assistance dog purposes as much better chance of it working this way). Anyway goldens are just amazing. I love the little chunky ones like yours. My favourite are the working line ones which are more of a caramel colour. But the show line ones come a very close second.

That bed looks lovely but I'd accept it is the cats bed now as it won't be big enough for Daisy for long.

When we brought our Goldie puppy home, our cat smacked her face a few times. After that they ignored each other until.....The morning the vet was due to arrive to put my now ancient and ill cat down, my husband went into the kitchen for his early morning cuppa and found the cat and dog cuddled up in bed together, fast asleep.

My previous cat was pts unexpectedly, and I brought him home. On vets advice, I let the dog see his body so she understood he'd gone
She kept nudging him with her nose, whining and running over to me. Then nudging him some more. I cried all night

Oh she is fluffy alright. And she will shed and regrow that fluff twice daily. 😂

Gorgeous. She honestly looks like a lovely, healthy, floofy golden.

The cat looks dead comfy in the bed. It’s so cute when you get dogs and cats that get on. I had high hopes for our dog and our bunnies. And then I saw her with a squirrel. That was the end of that idea.

Speaking of cats and dogs.

i rehomed a cat when she was 7-8 months old. I had a 1 and ¼ old dog. A terrier no less.

i put the cat in an unused bedroom upstairs, thinking oh she’ll be a bit scared and this is the advice. She immediately started scratching and meowing at the door. So I thought okay maybe she doesn’t want to be in the room, I will see how she does. So I opened the door, I followed her downstairs. My dog was in the kitchen with the door shut. The cat went straight up to the door so I thought okay I’ll open the door slightly so they can see each other, possibly not my wisest move, but I did. My cat squished her way through gap and started rubbing herself all over my dog. They have been best friends ever since 😂
