Dog bed for a looong dog

We have a basset hound ans he likes to stretch out when sleeping. This is becoming a bit of a problem he takes up a 2 person sofa easily and sometimes stretches longer.

I want.to find him a bed he will be comfortable in he is not so keen on the plastic tub ones I think because he can't get over the edge. He has one with a soft edge but usually sleeps halfway out of it.

Any suggestions? I've looked at so many but it's hard to know.

Poshpoodle is loooong. He loves his bed from Costco. Sometimes he even lies in it! When he’s hot he spreads out and I think bed is too hot so he lies wherever it’s cooler. He particularly likes under our Kingsize. However mostly a night he has his own single bed in the spare room. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We got a tuffies because I was fed up of cheaper ones falling apart. It’s been a year and it’s like new! Lab stretches out off the side of it, half on half off. Looks bizarre but that’s what he likes!

This. We had cot bed mattresses for our greys (won't curl up, only sleep at full stretch).

You can get waterproof covers and then put a sheet over the top so the mattress gets protected from stink. Our princess had a duvet on top as well. 🙄

@Enko I can't give any advice (my beagle ate at least ten beds and we stopped buying new ones) but just wanted to say what a magnificent hound!

K9 sofa type here - mine is a huge hound and we have the Xl. He can stretch completely.

Thank you everyone. I am obviously biased but I do think he is amazing. (I know his doggy daycare agrees too 🐶😄) I like the look of the K9 bed so will likely get that once I have the children back at Uni as wow September will cost a small fortune ...

These are great value, good, heavy and giant if you get the XL. They are not actually glittery and come in other options.

He’s gorgeous! Ours normally curls up and fits in whatever space is comfiest. She has XL versions of beds and also stretches out happily
