My dog is sprawled across me asleep. I have needed a wee for over an hour but don’t want to disturb me. Anyone relate? Pic included!

Tell me I’m not alone.

I was much more gung-ho when my children were babies!?

Aww, I wouldn't be able to move. I couldn't bring myself to when my old rats used to settle down on me. My pup is too big for my lap, though I see that didn't stop bumblepuppy 😄

My dog is too large to sit ON me often, but once the (rescue and not even nice to me) cat lands ..that's it.
It's called 'being incapussitated' in this house. Grin

And as he only loves me and lands on my lap at 10pm every evening... dh has to bring wine and snacks !!

ComeOnThenFanny · 23/04/2023 23:16

Not technically on me, but this is the state under my duvet 🙄😍

The sheer look of disbelief at the thought usually stops us

Dog rarely sleeps on my lap. However, if she's on the bed when I go to sleep I will squeeze myself onto the thin bit she leaves empty on my side of the bed in order not to disturb her - she normally moves eventually, which allows me to move further onto the bed and get comfortable before I go to sleep.

She likes to stretch out and takes up an extraordinary amount of space for a small dog.

We call it "in-cat-pacitated" but I think I prefer yours!

minipie · 24/04/2023 23:49

We call it “being catted”. She seems to know that I was about to have a wee/get a snack/go to bed and choose that exact moment to get super comfy and fall asleep.

Rest of the time she ignores us. Obviously.

Ha sorry my daughter often has our dogs and/or cats on her and I have no patience - just move them! I tell you if I moved to the kitchen they'd all jump up in an instance thinking they might get some food.
I also don't mind shoving them out of the way in bed.

I'm jealous of you all. Love your doggie snuggles.
