Sorry - horrendously busy at work, I've just logged off.
I like sexier than a squirrel, it works for me and I'll say why:
- I have the most playful of all playful dogs that loves games.
- I learn like an engineer - by taking things apart and rebuilding. So just watching or reading or listening to something doesn't work for me, I need a combo and to understand.
The basic premise of the course is for your dog to want to be with you snd focus on you while you are out and about. Ultimately to help with recall. It uses a series of games to promote that. So rather than just telling your dog to come back it also wanting too?
A lot of the games are orientation games - sending the dog one way then back to you, then another. Once they are back to you it also includes a middle. To me they make sense.
I don't think it alone will give perfect recall but whilst I think I take wonderful care of my fluffy bundle I do think I should play with her more, to help our bond. Plus I can see she enjoys it and I have to admit, I think I was a bit boring just playing hide snd seek and tug with puzzle games, It's good to get more ideas.
I paid £16.20. I hate the 2 presenters, they set my teeth on edge. But they are trying to be motivators and all happy clappy so I can just about get past it.
Also - and I think this is important- my dog can regulate instantly. She matches my energy wonderfully - just luck. So if I sit down mid high octane game she will too. I can see how other dogs would get too manic - they offer alternatives to help but I'm the one taking it to extreme and running round the house like a loon..,
So in summary no, it won't solve recall for me on it's own but I've incorporated most things so far into our days and it's been worth it.
I've also had a trainer out and that was grand too.
