Day in a life of your dog?

Can you experienced dog owners give me a sense of a regular day-in-a-life of your dog (grown dog, not puppy)? DH is suddenly getting cold feet about our plans to get a dog and I think having an idea of a grown dog's daily routine would help put his mind at rest that we won't have to be entertaining/ walking a dog from 7am to 7pm the way we do the DC

So, what does your dog do all day?!

Approx 7 year old small crossbreed who lives with just me at the moment:

7.00 - drink of fresh water and quick 10-15 min morning walk and a morning poo.
7.15 - breakfast
11-12.30 dog walker comes to take him for a group walk around the scenic Yorkshire countryside
6 - I arrive home from work so we go to the local park
7 - tea time
Spend the evening lying around on the settee watching Telly and having cuddles
10 - last trip outside for a wee before bedtime

I must add that I am riddled with guilt that I am not doing enough for him but it’s hard being by myself and working full time. My partner will be moving in post COVID so he will have both of us.

Plus my mum works part time so she spends every Friday afternoon walking him and having some quality time with him at home.

@ladybee28 here is a pic. I'm afraid he's asleep Grin because it's hard to get a good one of him when he's awake

Today was fairly typical for our 18 month old terrier.

Lies around snoozing all morning
Follows dd and me around the house
After lunch (ours not the dogs) take him out for an hours walk.

Quick shower off when we get home as he's very muddy.
Another snooze.
Dog has his dinner about 5pm

Plays with dd for a bit then settles down with a chew.
About 7pm I take him out for another 20 min walk.

Comes home and sleeps.

He's a good boy and very happy as long as he gets one decent walk a day.

7:15 - wake from slumber on spare room bed. Trot to bedroom door. Hang about hopefully.

7:30 - garden and breakfast

8:00 - quick toilet walk and investigate neighbourhood, charm postmen/delivery people

8:30- 10:00 sleep

10 onwards - up and looking for entertainment. Play in garden and check perimeter. Dig. Bark at invading pigeons. Photobomb mums’ work meetings, chew something, turn bed upside down until I get ‘enrichment’ toy or clicker sessions.

12-1:30 main walk, chase squirrels, investigate river, clown about with dogs on the common.

1:30-1:45 get rinsed off, snuffle mat or Kong, run about like loon for 5 mins trying to dry self on sofa - then sleep.

3:15 start hounding for dinner. Play a bit. Bark some. Practice training. Bought off with carrot/ apple/ natural treat.

4:30 toilet walk (20 min)

5:00 dinner

5:03- 6:00 zoomies

6:00- 8:30 sleep

8:30 climb on mums lap watch telly

9:30 10 min walk round block to check all in order

9:45 bedtime biscuit

9:46 retire to my room
